The topography is always so dreamy. But what's more dreamlike for a country like ours is: There are about 400 families living here. When India - Burma demarcation was done more than half the village fell into India and the rest went to Burma. So a lot of pain, families left behind, refugees? Not at all. Nothing changed how people lived there. The border is porus, so villagers go about anywhere freely anywhere they went. Children from a Burmese school nearby come for a stroll and to shops in India after their school. They all live very peacefully together. And yet, our Nagas don't understand Burmese, and the Burmese folks don't understand Konyak language. After every 5 years a committee of 30 members from both the sides sit, and discuss and then exchange some villages with each other. Some times we get 12 and give 5 or 7. All in all people are really happy to be on either side.
