i think part of fat liberation politics is an understanding that "body positivity" is the neutered liberal version of fat politics. "body positivity" is the useless universalized version of "fat positivity" which is already a neutered depoliticized version of fat liberation. being niceys about people's bodies is not enough, you need to understand fat people as an oppressed and disadvantaged class of people, and you need to understand thin people as the ones who benefit from the perpetuation of fatphobia. you need to hear "thin people are an oppressor class" and understand it as a basic principle of fat liberation.
