Coming out of my cage and posting content for a 37 year old fandom, like a totally normal person.
Abstract (Psychopomp) // Hawkeye Pierce
Some mash artwork I just threw together, feeling inspired by Hozier of course.

Hey Mashblr! Are you interested in chatting with other queer fans about the show MASH? Do you like thinking about how a show that was made 50 years ago can be perceived in ways totally unintended by the creators and discussing these iconic characters within a queer framework? Do you like doing watchalongs with other fans and discussing/writing MASH fic and fanart?
If the answer to any of those questions is yes, you may be interested in joining the MASHoles fan server on Discord! We’d love to meet new people and would be thrilled to get to know some more Mashblr folks.
(It is an 18+ server, just a heads up!)
Feel free to send a DM to me, @mashbrainrot or @amrv-5 and one of us can send you an invite!
Where There’s a Will, There’s a War || M*A*S*H 10x17 Original Airdate: February 22, 1982 written by David Pollock, Elias Davis story editing by Karen Hall directed by Alan Alda
you know. you grow up casually watching a show on repeat with your dad, have a moment where you hyperfix at 16, and then one day…one day you wake up in your thirties and wonder what the scientific explanation is for wanting to throw all of the characters into a jar and shake the jar up to see what happens every single morning.
Helllo! Opening commissions again! ✨
Pricing:
"Is it bad over there?" "It's gonna take some work before it's only bad."
[image ID: a fake promotional poster for the TV show, MASH, for the episode "Aid Station." It has a dirty and scratched up olive drab background, with an off-white circle containing the red cross symbol of medical staff, which has scratches like chipped paint. The center circle contains a digitally illustrated scene of Hawkeye, Houlihan, and Klinger attending a wounded patient at the bombed-out Aid Station, and the four of them are colored red to form the shape of the central red cross. The poster text is in military stencil font and also scratched up. At the top it reads, "MASH Season 3 Episode 19: Aid Station." The text at the bottom reads, "February 11th, 8:30 PM on CBS. Written by Larry Gelbart and Simon Muntner." end ID]

father mulcahy has gotta be one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. just imagine. you're a priest in the middle of a war. you're surrounded by doctors and nurses working day and night to patch up hordes of wounded soldiers. everyone knows how futile it is - at the end of the day, these soldiers, these children, are just being fixed up so they can be sent right back into combat again. and what is your place in all this? you were sent here to heal the soul, not the body, but few people in camp attend your sunday services and confessions are sparse. the doctors have a nice clear number to tell them how good they're doing - 97.8%, the highest survival rate of any army hospital in the country. but there's no such way to measure spiritual healing, and so your invisible work weighs on you. you question whether you're even helping at all. and you become so lost in your feelings of inadequacy that you can't see the good you're doing. you can't see that everyone depends on you. you can't see that in the middle of this violent, nonsensical theatre, your soft words, open ear, and quiet optimism is what gives everyone the strength to make it through each day. you have shaped this mess of a camp into a brilliant parish, and you're too humble to ever realize it.
Not entirely sure what this is about exactly but i felt like you'd appreciate our friend Trapper Fawn McIntyre
