No more new people, but the people we had already are a bit bigger. They’re like actual people now.

Sometimes I forget how old my tumblr is. It’s pushing at least 15 years old, if not more.

This space predates the entire version of life I have now.

It’s wild to think of how many people I connected with here that have just vanished into the either. I was skimming my following list and so many people haven’t posted in 9+ years. (Not like I’m a frequent poster either.)

I hope they’re all doing well. Wherever they are. Shoutout to Matt Jordan (who I am still connected to elsewhere). Shoutout to Scott Friday.

Off to Wikipedia. Found out that he had one kid, who was stillborn.

Now I'm all in my feels about how children really are a blessing. I'm sure it's the 3 beers I've had, but still...

i do not at all mean this in a perjorative manner, but i do think it’s important to be able to consume a piece of media and go, “i’m not the audience for this” and be able to just walk away 

there doesn’t have to be something wrong or “problematic” about something for a person to not like it. personal taste is personal taste. but something not doing it for you doesn’t mean it automatically has to be wrong or bad. it’s just not for you.

The wife and I went and saw Wonder Woman on Sunday. Man, that was a badass movie. I generally don’t care for superhero movies, but I’m glad I took a few hours to see this one. The story was good (with some delightfully cheesy moments), the fight scenes were top notch, and the special effects were amazing without being distracting. Highly recommend.

Dear American friends

Your president has said a lot of nasty and untrue things about the UK lately, which is utterly despicable at a time of great sadness for our nation. The mayor of London has enough to deal with without being attacked by Trump, people are in mourning and he is openly abusing and offending us on social media, this is not the standard of behaviour expected of a world leader. We are a mostly tolerant and peaceful society, we look out for one another and we will not be divided. We don’t need a gun debate because we don’t have guns, we also don’t have extremist ghettos and and no go areas, so please leave us to grieve and keep your opinions to yourself. I have a lot of American friends and I’m sorry if this upsets you, but your president is not a nice person.
