The U.S. Election is mere days away and nobody is asking the real questions: What’s each candidate’s stance in Clown legislation?
(Out of character warning: This is all fake made up bullshit that has nothing to do with actual American politics - some of the opinions stated here do align with my actual views but some others are more in line with the fictional author of the blog, and all of them are buried within a mountain of fake American politics and history so please don’t take this seriously)
I make it no secret that I’m involved and very active in European Clown politics (and animals rights in general of course) and even though there is still a long way to go, over the last few decades some very important legislation has been passed, both in the EU and in most European countries. On the other hand, the US is a whole other story. For the most part, the US has not passed any legislation for the protection of clowns, or animal rights in general for that matter! There are laws in place at a state per state level but the law on a federal level is very scarce.
I’m sorry but this post is going to get very political. I’ve spent a lot of time researching American politics to be able to talk about this properly, so first I’m going to talk about the whole US and then I’ll talk a little bit about some specific states.
Of the main 4 political forces of the US, the only one that I can in no way endorse is the Libertarian Convergence, they spent the whole 70′s opposing clown health legislation, they’re the reason americans had to wait until nineteen eighty fucking two for the Clown Act and they have not changed at all. Their deputies and senators have regularly voted against necessary laws, and in cases where they knew they couldn’t tank them they simply walked out in protest. The America’s People Party isn’t quite ideal and could be much better but at least has not been antagonistic to the cause of clown rights. They’re neolib conservatives so they pretty much always vote in the interest of corporations and the economy but they do more often than not vote in favour of criminalizing animal cruelty and things like that but still, on my eyes they fall short. If I have any right wingers among my followers I’d honestly rather them to vote to the APP but I don’t honestly expect them to listen to me, a known lefty so let’s proceed to the two main left wing parties.
There is always a lot of controversy online about which one of the two has done more because on one hand the Liberal Union has actually passed more legislation, but that’s a bit dishonest since the Worker’s Party has only had 2 presidents since the 1930s. I won’t further the discussion, though. I’m not American and even though I have a preference, this is a clown husbandry blog and on that regard the Liberals are perfectly okay.
Alright, so those are the 4 main ones, but how about the 5th parties? Well, as far as I can tell, depends on your particular state. The way American Election law is set up, states with more population have proportionately less representation, AND less oportunities for lesser parties to get representatives in the chamber of deputys so basically none of the major states get any reps from 5th’s parties. However, some of the rural states do get reps from lesser parties and even if they have no chanve at becoming president it’s always good to have people inside pushing for actual, life-changing legislation: we owe the 1999 General Animal Well Being to the 3 reps from the Clown Rights League (2 from Terpas and 1 from North Doramos).
So, I’ve looked up all the minor parties that usually have a chance (or do get in) in all of the states and what policies they defend. Maybe I’m missing some but as far as I can tell, there are 3 main political parties that defend clown and animal rights: the Party Against Animal Abuse, the Clown Rights League and the Pirate Party. The PAAA is the more popular of the bunch, it, last ellection got 24 reps from New Nantes, Terpas, North & South Doramos and Omane. The CRL usually gets less reps but is a bit more extended gepgraphically and it usually ties for 5th with the PAAA in Omane and New Nantes, and beats it in North Doramos and Terpas. The Pirate Party only ever gets reps in Caskle (and once in North Magec but that was in 1996) but they always get at least 2 (but I guess if you live there you’re already familiar with the PP so yeah). If you live in any of those states honestly I’d tell you to vote for any of these parties their track records are impeccable and they organise local protests and important stuff. I know personally members of the three of them and I know they’re very comitted to the cause.
I hope y’all find this useful, it took me a lot of time to compile all this info.
