Imagine right after hearing of Marlene's death Dorcas goes straight to Evan, he comforts her and is there for her. But he has this overwhelming guilt knowing he could've given her the information to save Marlene, could've made it seem like a coincidence that she wasn't there the night Peter was sent to kill her.

But no, he let it happen and now he's seeing what it's done to one of his bestfriends. It doesn't stop there though, Dorcas starts talking about how she'll get revenge and for just a bit he let's it happen. That is until the dark lord decides it's time for him to prove himself. And Evan is sent out to stop her.

He wanted to find a way to fake it, but deep down he knew he couldn't, he never told Regulus or Barty about it. No, he couldn't. How would they react to it? Regulus wouldn't stand for it if he were still alive.

So then the day came when Dorcas was faxing the dark lord, and he was losing. And Evan realized there was no more stalling or pretending. He had to do it. Dorcas realized what was happening the second he stepped between her and the dark lord, the betrayal seeping into every part of her. Had it been any other scenario she would've thought about it, wondered why he'd do this, how he could do it.

But instead, she let her rage and betrayal take over and she screamed ('I trusted you', 'you held me as I was crying about a death you could've prevented') and started to let out what seemed like millions of curses each second. He fought back, had to, and it went on for only a few minutes until he was hit. Dorcas paused right after, regret seeming to take the rages place, that was the wrong move. For when she took that pause, that second of regret, the dark lord took his chance and cursed her.

She died not only at the hands of the dark lord but also at one of her best friends as well.

(I know mad eye canonically killed him but this seemed better, so another way could be mad eye came with Dorcas and had the killing shot for Evan, but idk would have to modify this a lot and I'm too lazy so 🤷‍♂️)

Regulus gets like Orion when he's angry with someone (distant, short but hurtful comments, isolates which I know is technically the same as distant but I feel like it has another level of depth too, and this look in his eyes of disapproval depending on why he's angry/upset.)

Whereas Sirius gets like Walburga (harsh gaze, VERY hurtful comments and possibly rants, slightly aggressive body language but would never actually hit someone he's close to, and awful but calculated decisions.)

James gets like Effie (his eyes just go blank or have disapproval, he either doesn't talk and just has this expression where if he does talk he'll blow up or he'll talk in a low frustrated voice, VERY tense body language, and when he talks it's most likely passive-aggressive if he's super mad or him trying to calm down by ranting.)

I might do Remus and Peter and maybe others if someone asks but idk, I'd need ideas for how their parents are.

Years later he found out it was because of a group, they were called the marauders and the only reason he found out was because McGonagall had visited remus' grave the same, and only time, Lyall did. To say goodbye, to the son he had once adored.
