Hey guess who got a job and hasn't been able to do their usual 2 am writing sessions!!!! This fucking guy B)
under reported fact on here that the ever given seemingly got stuck cause its boat dick got lodged in the bank
AH FUCK. I can’t believe you’ve done this!
Types of nesting
× Comfort seeking
This is the first type of nesting most Omegas experience. It usually starts at around 10-12 years old, when they start being less dependent on their parent's nest for comfort.
The structure of this nest is more personal, and usually shares very similar characteristics to their guardian's nest. For example, if their parents nest had many pillows, their nest will have many pillows as well. Nesting is instinctual, but there's some behaviors that are learned for its construction.
The most common items are pillows, comforters, and scented clothes from a loved one. In some cultures, a plushie is gifted to a child for their first nest, and they will use it all throughout their lives.
Usually comfort nesting is done in pajamas, or any sort of casual comfortable clothing. Though some Omegas have designated nesting clothing which has been scented for maximum comfort.
× Pre-heat
Around this time, an Omega might feel feverish and sensitive, both physically and emotionally. Due to this most clothing can be uncomfortable and easily overheat the Omega, there's specialized robes for heats, which are incredibly soft and easy to take off for both temperature regulation and easier access.
However, it's more common for Omegas to forgo clothing altogether, as the feeling of soft fluffy blanket all throughout their bodies is quite comforting.
These are usually built in the Omega's beds, rather than a designated nesting area.
× Pregnancy
Pregnant Omegas are more likely to start getting nesting instincts at 6-8 weeks pregnant, and then again in the last trimester. The nest will usually last the entire pregnancy, though during most of the 2nd and first half of the 3rd trimester, it will be cleaned up and organized rather than used for actual nesting.
Many Omegas choose to give birth in their nests, as they feel more safe there rather than a hospital setting. Though most hospitals accept the nest getting set up there, this is why collapsible nests are a common baby shower gift.
it's structure varies a lot from other nests, as it accommodates their babies' stuff for scenting, and an area they can give birth without focusing too much on cleaning later.
× Stress
Most Omegas nest when they're nervous or stressed, and they need a place to retreat and sometimes hide. They differ from comfort nests by their structures, and because comfort nests can arise from any type of mood. Nesting recreatively is more common and not a warning sign, unlike stress nests.
These nests are usually made in corners of rooms, or places that can be walled off, and they usually get very little light. They are notable for having less non-mate scented items than a usual nest.
Nesting behaviors vary from Omega to Omega, remember that every nest is different and each have their own unique characteristics. That is the wonderful part of nesting!
Literally heard a convo at the library where a guy was telling a girl that he’s an omega and the girl telling him that she’s a beta, and my mind just did not automatically connect the context to fraternity pledge classes at all and I just whispered to myself “what the fuck?? What the fuck??”
a comedy of errors
I impulse bought a silly house tent with this gift card someone gave me and I didn’t know it was going to be so damn sturdy and also so big that it’s now taking up like 1/3 of my room
People wanted to see it and even though it’s massive, it’s fucking great and looks like I’m expecting Hello Kitty over later
Omega pride flag when?????????
Twink flag
Not as spicy as my previous ones but a really possessive alpha who has like twenty mating marks on his Omega instead of just one like normal. -Spicy Anon.

Explain? Please?
1. Battle Angel Alita manga gains popularity outside of Japan
2. James Cameron reads said manga
3. Cameron, hot off a successful movie run, is inspired while at the same time wanting to create a show
4. Creates and writes show Dark Angel, casting Jensen Ackles in a reoccurring supporting role
5. Show about genetically enhanced characters features “heat” as something characters go through
6. Show gets canceled after 2 seasons. Jensen Ackles is now unemployed.
7. Supernatural airs 3 years later, with Jensen Ackles as the main character
8. RPF becomes massively popular for the show to avoid the main incest pairing with canon characters
9. Fanfic AU inspired by Ackle’s stint on Dark Angel morphs multiple existing tropes, creating first official ABO (omegaverse) story for Jensen Ackles/Jared Padalecki
10. Omegaverse becomes wildly popular, spreading across multiple fandoms and variations
11. Omegaverse novels begin to get published, including by Addison Cain and Zoey Ellis who both wrote het omegaverse novels
12. Cain files DMCA against Ellis, with Cain claiming to have invented het omegaverse
13. Lawsuit finds its way to court, becoming the Omegaverse Litigation case, and bringing omegaverse to the public’s knowledge
Always good to know your history.

I want an omega who loves their heats. Who feels strong and sexy and empowered. Who feels like they’re the most powerful person in the world, able to bring all those tough strong alphas to their knees.
Strong, empowered, dominant omega, who is not a weak wilting flower.
Omegas who scent their friends in greeting because they love them and want to let them know just how comfortable they are with them.
PREGNANT OMEGAS WHO ARE NESTINGGGGGG HEADCANONS
Yessss! Nesting is utterly adorable. Thank you for the ask!
Context: I headcanon Japanese omegas as nesting less often than their Western counterparts, an adaptation that arose out of Japan’s disgustingly humid summers and the tendency for mold to grow anywhere and everywhere.
From the beginning to mid-pregnancy, the omega will have a habit of cleaning the nest up every morning, and dragging the sheets and laundry back into order at night. The omega is either:
a) very neat and clean, and cannot stand the nest just sitting there all day, filled with dirty laundry
b) feels guilty that they’ve stolen all the sheets, and their mate’s closet is dwindling because they haven’t done the laundry
It’s exhausting work, especially as they progress in their pregnancy. It gets easier when their family grows, though, because their pups and mate will help put everything away.
Omegas especially like to make a game out of it, to teach their pups responsibility and good habits.
Sometimes an omega will just curl up in frustration and maybe cry because they got it just perfect the night before, and now it’s just not right.
Their mate comes in, sensing their distress, and tries to help, but that only makes it worse.
They end up in a cuddle session, with the mate taking a stack of towels or clothes and rubbing their scent on it, then handing it to their omega to arrange in the nest.
Their foreign friends are all “Why all the stress?? Just leave it??”
Like, technically, in cities with apartments that have air conditioning, it’s not necessary, it’s just an engrained habit.
But out in the countryside. Oh, no. No air conditioning whatsoever, just fans. The idea of leaving it there is repulsive to many, who want a nice clean environment for when their pups are born.
Because less importance is placed on the nest, Japanese omegas are a little less protective of it. They’ll let anyone familiar just flop down in it without asking, at least until their last month of pregnancy.
For their first pregnancy, many omegas won’t start wanting to nest until the middle of the second trimester or later, and it worries the hell out of them because a lot of books say it should happen earlier.
First pregnancies also mean most omegas don’t know how to build a proper nest, so when they get the urge they sit there in a puddle of blankets and pillows stewing over it for hours. Their mates are appropriately amused, find it adorable, and eventually go over to offer their help (which is usually denied out of a sense of pride like excuse me are you telling me I don’t know how to be an omega because their alpha/beta mate knows even less haha).
a/b/o is one of my favorite ever verses and i know it’s not everyone’s jam but!!!
