Ark: Marmite Evolved!
I think by now we are all familiar with the dinosaur ridden island that is the Ark - Ark: Survival Evolved! And how at times it can be infuriatingly unforgiving. Working hard against the bugs and imperfections of this otherwise great game. And when I say bugs I'm not talking about any single and/or overwhelming group of aggressively inquisitive Meganeura! No, ladies and insects.. The kind of Bug that will see you repeatedly struggling to bound through a 3 foot gap between two parked raptors. Or attempting to unstick yourself from the neck of a now Hostile Bronto after stealing it's eggs, losing a beloved, loyal and long serving Argentavis in the process! - (speaking from experience, rest in peace, Swoop) But despite all of its flaws.. It is still a beautifully atmospheric game, the only game of its kind and the community are willing to overlook these scratches on the paintwork to instead appreciate what WildCard has offered. To me, it will always be a guilty pleasure. But to others, a game they'll watch from a distance until it seems polished and ready to welcome fresh meat to the dodo littered beaches of the island without them fearing when the next disconnect happens, being left powerless to defend yourself against a pack of angry and wild Dilophosaur. Alas, it is what it is! And it's a game worth picking up during a sale or to join alongside a group of friends!
