I mourn every good thing that was ever taken away from me.

I mourn the person I could have been if life had treated me a little more kindly.

I hide the part of me that needs to be loved the most and then crave to be loved as a whole.

I step on the glass just to see the blood on my footprints as I walk

And when I look back I see the same cycle of self-destruction being repeated, again and again

And when I look ahead it's hard to imagine a future where my feet don't bleed.

Yet I keep walking
