THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS
yo what are you always so stressed about?
me:
Yep. Don’t take away the wine jar yet.
me: not today, satanÂ
satan: you’ve been canceling our plans for weeks now. if it’s something i said, please just tell me
aimless efforts
this is the best comic ive ever seen
History became legend, legend hasn’t yet become myth for we know how very real he was. Professor John Ronald Reuel Tolkien.
Like, I get that this is a comedian telling a joke but it’s so fucking real. The fear of being institutionalized holds people back from being honest. It’s a big problem. It’s a real problem. It’s a problem nobody is talking about.Â
theory: “mamma mia!” (2008) and “kingsman: the secret service” (2014) take place in the same universe
my evidence?Â
colin firth.
in “mamma mia!”, which is arguably set in the 90s, he plays:
an englishman named harry
whose last name is not known
who demonstrates an affinity for aliases (”harry headbanger”)
who lives in london
who works as a banker which sounds fake
isn’t “spontaneous”
is gay
in “kingsman: the secret service,” where the main story is arguably set in 2014, he plays:
an englishman named harry
whose last name is now revealed to be hart
who demonstrates a penchant for aliases (”galahad”)
who lives in london
who is actually a secret agent…which he has to lie about and tell people he’s some boring job like a banker
can’t afford to be spontaneous bc he’s a secret agent and if he doesn’t plan things out he will probably die
tells a random woman that he’s gay (among other things) (he’s implied to be lying but literally nothing in the film indicates that anything in the line where he says that is not true)
CONCLUSION: Harry from “Mamma Mia!” and Harry from “Kingsman: The Secret Service” are the same person. The opening scene (before it jumps to “17 years later”) of Kingsman takes place, at most, a few years apart from the events of “Mamma Mia!” Also, Harry Hart is gay. Thank you for your time.Â

“Gandalf as Ring-Lord would have been a contest between the Ring’s true allegiance to Sauron versus Gandalf’s actually possession of the Ring. But if Gandalf had been the victor it would have been far worse than Sauron winning. The “righteous” Gandalf would have become self-righteous, ruling and ordering things for “good” until he had made good detestable and seem evil.” «The Letters of J. R. R. Tolkien», Letter № 246
