Because we were so divided into the jocks, the nerds, freaks. And in the chaos, all those walls broke down, and I made new friends. I made friends who were never even supposed to be my friends.
Steve & Dustin Stranger Things
i swear to god if anything happens to dustin or steve the entirety of 2026 will be ruined. possibly also 2027
Well, we’re just always partners, okay? STEVE HARRINGTON and DUSTIN HENDERSON in STRANGER THINGS

guillermo del toro said so many insightful and funny things last night at the frankenstein q&a that i started taking notes. these are all direct quotes. i love this man.
Look back. Look back at me.
Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl vs Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning
okay the final reckoning was fun in parts! also the stuff with benji in the server room was top notch! i just....i don't think i like fraser taggart as a cinematographer. everything was either super wide or extreme close-ups/singles. like, give the emotional beats a little more room to breathe
Cats getting caught doing crimes
the thing about the fall is that literally he was in a doomed narrative of his own making and this random little girl loved him so much she reached right in and plucked him out of his story. he was on a road doomed to die. he was walking out of life with his eyes open and his fingers crossed and she looked at him and said show me your hands! he has a daughter!! she loves him!!! let him live. promise? and it works. she can see stars when she rubs her eyes and it's her story, too.
bernie midgely is a racist bitch and deserves to die and i have absolutely no empathy for her

I think I found my new favorite rabbit hole. This voice actor does Shakespeare scenes in a southern accent and I need to see the whole damn play. Absolutely beautiful
if you're not from the us american south, there's some amazing nuances to this you may have missed. i can't really describe all of them, because i've lived here my whole life and a lot of the body language is sort of a native tongue thing. the body language is its own language, and i am not so great at teaching language. i do know i instinctively sucked on my lower teeth at the same time as he did, and when he scratched the side of his face, i was ready to take up fucking arms with him.
but y'all. the way he said "brutus is an honourable man" - each and every time it changed just a little. it was the full condemnation Shakespeare wanted it to be. it started off slightly mock sincere. barely trying to cover the sarcasm. by the end...it wasn't a threat, it was a promise.
christ, he's good.
the eliding of “you all” to “y’all” while still maintaining 2 syllables is a deliberate and brilliant act of violence. “bear with me” said exactly like i’ve heard it at every funeral. the choices of breaking and re-establishing of eye contact. the balance of rehearsed and improvised tone. A+++ get this man a hollywood contract.
