The *Magazine* Fiasco (Sally Face x Reader)
Summary: Sally accidentally left one of those magazines right where you could find it.
Authors note: I have no idea why I like embarrassing Sal so much.
You and the gang had all decided to have a sleepover at Sally's tonight. You had all been so busy lately, not even finding time to poke around the Addison Apartments. So you all decided you'd hang out together, and if anything paranormal were to happen, you'd check it out. Larry and Todd were currently bickering about what movie to watch.
You, Sally, and Ash were on the couch watching with amusement as the two boys bickered when you suddenly yawned. "Are you even going to be awake to find out which movie they pick?" Ash joked. "Yeah, I'm not that tir-" You started, before trying to stifle your next yawn. "You can get some rest in Sal's room, right Sal?" Ash said, before giving Sal a wink, that you didn't quite catch.
Unfortunately, Ash had recently found out about Sally's crush on you. Thankfully she promised not to tell anyone else, especially you, but that hasn't stopped any of her teasings. "Oh yeah! I don't mind." Sal said nervously, feeling uneasy for some reason. "What a gentleman, thanks, Sal!" You said before disappearing into his room.
"It doesn't matter if we've watched it before, it's a classic," Larry said. Sally chuckled and lifted his mask slightly to take a sip of soda. He silently hoped you were comfortable in his room. Suddenly Sal's eyes widened as he fell into a fit of coughing. The gang jokingly asked if he was okay, but Sally was more focused on his sudden realization. He left one of those magazines right on his bed.
The gang finally decided what to watch, but Sally could hardly focus. He was silent, dramatically panicking about his imminent doom. 'Maybe they won't even find it!' He thought. They were pretty tired, so they probably weren't paying attention. Sal thought before rolling his eyes, that was ridiculous, it was right on the pillow!
'That's it!' 'They're going to think I'm weird and stop being my friend.' He thought with a grimace. 'I'll never get a chance to confess to them, or be with them, or stop using those goddam magazines!'
Larry suddenly noticed Sally holding onto his pigtails. "Is the movie that scary?" He asked. "What? No, it's fine." Larry raised a brow, causing Sally to sigh. He quietly explained the situation, figuring Larry would drag it out of him eventually anyway. They all laughed of course before Larry mumbled something about taking care of it.
The next day Sally woke up to You and Larry talking in the kitchen. Sally sighed and made his way to both of you, stepping around Ashley and Todd, who were sprawled out on the living room floor. "Hey, Y/N. I'm really sorry about the magazine. I have no idea why it was left there." Sally said, blushing madly. "It's all good, you were just being a good friend!" You said. "What?" "Sal!" Larry quickly interjected. "I was just telling Y/N about how you let me keep my magazines in your room, so Lisa doesn't find them!" Larry said with a forced smile. "Oh! Yeah... That's exactly right!" Sally said, chuckling nervously.
"That's super cool of you, I know how nosy parents can be," You started.
"I might start storing my magazines here too!" You said with a grin. Cue Sally Face choking on air.
