I love making matching guardians. These are two completely different scenarios. One would be where Orion gets tadpoled and tries to save the world. The other one is where Vendell is taken and will make the world bow at his knees. Two completely different pathways, but one origin: each other. Both of them handle the break-up differently. Orion wants to surround himself with the good things in the world. Vendell just wants to see the world burn after losing the love of his life.

I’m at the final part now with Orion. I have so many feelings about this. How do people decide which companions to take along??

I didn’t think this character would grow on me so much. He was just somebody I created for a modless run. Just to get some achievements on the game at last. And it’s been a challenge, after being spoiled with mods so early on. But I enjoyed it a lot.

So I’m just gonna finish the game this evening and then it’s over for Orion’s run. I’ll miss him.

The Orion playthrough continues. I didn’t think I’d get this far so quickly in a modless run, but here we are!

As his romance with Shadowheart deepens, he’s also haunted by his first love, Vendell. That epic love that nearly ended up breaking him when they fell apart. Still, he’s eager to find happiness again after all this time

Continued Orion’s playthrough a little. Forgot I made a hot guardian.

I could not deal with the fact that I made a hot guardian, so I made it tragic. Vendell (I know it says a different name but it sounded too much like wandering) and Orion were once lovers, but they grew apart because of Vendell’s increasing darkness inside of him and his growing evil tendencies that he could not always control. They had a tragic break-up, and both of them regret the way it ended. Vendell has Orion as his guardian now as well. I’m curious to see where his story goes.

(I also have some trophies I can’t get with Orion’s playthrough so I needed a durge for the Bhaal ending trophies)

As I've finished the game 4 times already, I feel like I'm allowed to be a chronic restarter! I just love creating new characters and building background stories. Here are my latest additions so far!

For these, I used a random generator, just to make things interesting! But more than half of them ended up falling on gnomes or Halflings for some reason. And then I lost half of them because I forgot to save after adding them. After that, the generator had a bit more variation.

Sybil Silentbrook. Harper, Druid and Ranger. She fought alongside Jaheira in he Last Light inn, but never expected her nephew and niece to come running up, infected with a mind flayer parasite. After the attempted abduction on Isobel, Sybil was taken along to the mind flayer colony where she, too, was given her own special little crawler. After being rescued by the gang, she joins them on their adventure to take down the Absolute

As children, Sylas and Xan were kind of forced to spend time together by their parents during the annual reunion parties. Raised among other githyanki, Xan wasn’t really impressed by these istik.

Over time, Xan’s fondness for Lae’zel’s companions and their offspring grew stronger.

More of the Next Gen gang. I'm having too much fun with these characters!

I know that Gale says in the game that he wouldn't see himself as father material. Though, in my playthrough him and Astriel have never had this conversation together because she wasn't interested in romancing Halsin. That said, I mostly imagine that they weren't expecting on having children in the first place. Adopting Yenna was more of an unofficial thing; they just took her under their wing after the attack on Baldur's Gate, except their living arrangement became something more permanent over the months. Astriel's pregnancy with Sylas was very much an accident, as neither of them were really planning on having children that quickly into their relationship. With the orb no longer a factor in his life, Gale allowed himself to open up to the idea of being a parent, because how much trouble could one child be? Of course, in contrary to a drow's usual biology, Astriel ended up much more fertile than expected, leading to them having four more children after that.

Sylas is meant to be around 21 years old, almost 22. Carys is 19. Kai is 17, Odessa 16 and Cordula 15.

Yenna and Tate met each other at one of the reunion parties held a couple of years after the destruction of the Absolute. They became fast friends, until eventually they became lovers.
