Unless you were a tech at NASA back in the day, when one time some hydrogen a) escaped in a particular building, and b) caught on fire. This was extremely difficult because hydrogen does NOT burn on the visible spectrum humans evolved to see (and flee). Rather, it technically does, but itās so pale that in practice, no one could see it. Additionally, pure hydrogen burns without smoke and with so little ambient heat that you canāt really sense it till you walk into it. So, per the lore, for a few days all the techs in that building just walked around brandishing brooms in front of them like lances. If your broom lit on fire, congrats! You have located more burning hydrogen! Do not proceed!
oh my god it's real and it was LITERALLY called "the broom method" holy shit
My nephew (age 4) wants to know how EVERYTHING works. Engines, air conditioners, plumbing--he can tell you how a transmission works and lay out a functioning electrical circuit but he can't read yet--and one time when we were camping, he wanted to know how fire works. So I explained, and then, unwisely, also explained that some types of fire do not burn in the visible spectrum of light.
And then I had to spend over an hour detailing why there would not be pure hydrogen in our campsite. And he wouldn't go to bed until I had given him a leaf to use as his broom method--if the dry leaf spontaneously begins to smoulder...congrats, kid, you've located a hydrogen fire.
He still talks about hydrogen fires sometimes. Still hasn't found one.

But bruh let's talk about it.
The thing about Patrick Warburton is while a lot of his characters sound similar, he makes them distinct by giving each character a personality. Krunk is vastly different from Joe Swanson. That is why he's such a great voice actor and why we love him so much.
The thing about Patrick Warburton is that he actually knows how to act
"Voice acting" is two words for a reason
I think about pokemon in non-battle situations a lot. Like pokemon who have been trained/raised to be helpers and assistants than to be battle partners.
Pokemon visiting hospitals to cheer patients up like dogs and cats do. Or ones that help kids learn to read, speak, swim, go through therapy?! Even pokemon whoās abilities help owners with specific disabilities?!
I love thinking of pokemon outside of battle situations.
