It's incredibly important to me that men in the Odyssey will just break down in tears at a moments notice. Every time anyone mentions Odysseus everyone starts crying. Telemachus cries because he misses his dad and when he finds his dad and when he hugs his dad, Peisistratus is crying just because Telemachus is, Menelaus is bawling his eyes out so much Helen needs to sedate him. Odysseus cries when he's happy and when he's sad and when he meets his parents and when he misses his home and when he returns to his home and when he sees just any land at all and when he has to think about any of the terrible things that happened to him. And in a media enviroment where I predominantly see a guy shed a single tear at the death of his entire family I find that very yummy
Way back in ancient history (circa 2007), when my high school Latin class was translating the Aeneid, one of my classmates commented that Aeneas was a bad hero, because he cried a lot and therefore he wasn't a 'real' man. And Mr. L (my Latin teacher and the best teacher I've ever had btw) calmly explained, "Well, the Romans had a different view of masculinity and how 'real' men should act."
And that permanently changed my brain chemistry.

I saw someone @brokenberries post this with an art request, so I saved the screenshot, and now I cannot for the life of me find it again. If/when I do, I'll link it in. Whoever you are, please feel free to request stuff like this more often because it is GENIUS!
Photoshopped image (images sourced from instagram, and google), watercolour texture from stock image databases, overlines by computer program and me (I was not going to try to do the raccoon by hand, I'd still be there in six hours). This is not AI.
