what are your opinions on therians? you know, people who believe they once lived a past life where they were an actual animal, and not a mythical creature? people say that being a therian is just an umbrella term for otherkin, but I wanted to get an anti-kin page's opinion..
I feel the same thing applies, all this kin/therian thing is just lonely teens wanting attention online. plain and simple

self-diagnosis really angers me. As someone with diagnosed anxiety and depression all these people with internet quiz results they believe and like I've been through hell since I was six years old but I mean u took an internet quiz,u must be right
Also when you challenge them about it they say shit like “ur liek literal trash cuz i rly have anxiety and depress” and all that shit.
If anyone thinks they’re mental or even physical ill they get a doctor to confirm their suspicions instead of going on WebMD and looking up a few symptoms and saying “I HAVE THIS NOW”

So I guess there’s like a shit ton of people who think the world is flat? Even though all evidence suggests otherwise. Even before Columbus we knew the Earth was round.

the otherkin community completely disgusts me. it also disgusts me how they throw around all these serious mental disorders like they're nothing. I actually have borderline personality disoder but these self diagnosed otherkin freaks make it so embarrassing to say anything about my BPD on tumblr because the idea of being associated with them makes me crings.
Yeah, most people on tumblr seem to self-diagnose and throw around terms, especially mental disorders. Most likely for attention/sympathy.
