For July 2024 we're keeping the party going here at the Prompt foundry, celebrating diversity, solidarity, and triumphs won in the fight for rights as we roll right from Queer Pride in June to Disability Pride in July with Pride 2 Disability Boogaloo!

A and B get stuck at the top of a ferris wheel together, and A has a deathly fear of heights.

One morning the top pane of A's window inexplicably shatters, spiderwebs creeping down the glass seemingly out of nowhere. On the same day, they encounter B, a strangely angelic figure who claims to have moved in to the apartment upstairs. When they go to welcome the new neighbor, the upstairs apartment is empty, but over the course of the next few weeks more and more strange things start to happen in A's apartment, and B keeps inexplicably showing up in unexpected places at the perfect times.

A is a rare book collector who travels the world in search of old manuscripts to add to their collection. On one such trip, they track down the book they're looking for to a tiny antique shop run by B's family, and offer to buy it for a huge sum of money. B, however, refuses the money, saying the book wasn't up for general sale, and A becomes determined to get B to part with it by any means necessary.

A is an immortal guard, unmoving and unchanging, charged with keeping the gates leading to hell in a tiny, unsuspecting cave in the north of the mountains safe and secure. They've been alone for centuries, except for fending off the odd hero trying to go down or monster trying to come back up, until B, a local farmer, stumbles onto them one day. A and B talk, briefly - it's nice to have the company, and A appreciates the conversation, even if B does most of the talking. And then, for some inexplicable reason, B decides to start coming by every few days to chat, with their basket full of ripened fruit, or a little bit of fresh bread, or a book they leave with A to read. And A, for the first time in their eternal existence, starts to feel lonely during the time when B is gone and they're all alone again.

A and B are opposing political candidates running against each other in the current election. Both of them are determined to win, but A can't help but comment on whatever B's wearing, B keeps getting distracted during the debates, and their campaign managers are at their wit's end with what to do about these two.

A and B are assigned watch at the far edge of the border. The two are stuck in the watchtower together for hours on end, day after day, and mostly exist in an awkward silence until A, finally tired of hearing nothing but their own thoughts, starts to recount stories to B as a way to pass the time.

CW being trapped in dreams

A finds themselves trapped in a fantasy world of B's dreams and is shocked to discover that besides having sick magical powers and dragons, the 'fantasy' part revolves heavily around they and B being a couple... and surprisingly for A, it's kind of nice. Will they try to find their way out with the help of dream B to get back to their real-life counterpart, or will the temptation to stay be too strong to resist?

A is approached by B at a restaurant after B mistakes them for their date and A, not one to turn down an attractive stranger who wants to have dinner with them, lies and pretends they're whoever B was supposed to meet up with instead.

But years ago, A broke B's trust - and heart - when they betrayed them at a crucial moment in their plans, leaving B ruined and alone. Now, A comes crawling to B for help, and B isn't sure if they have it in their heart to forgive A for everything they'd done, even if it means losing their old friend forever.

CW doctors office/medical setting

A keeps going to the same doctor's office and the same nurse, B, does their intake exam and testing every time. And A almost can't complain about all the follow ups, at this point, because B is pretty cute, and they keep chatting them up when they take A's blood pressure.
