Love this!

Part of it is that, there was a place my mom used to take us for long weekends when I was a kid, and this song was often playing at the restaurents, arcades, etc. in the area. Plus, my sister and I used to sing this and dance (very badly) around the living room to this. So, when I hear this, I am like 10yrs old dancing with my sister in the living room, laughing as we tried to imitate Ricky Martin's moves (we still can't).

im ngl the first song that popped into my head for "songs that make me happy" is Crying Game by Cady Groves (cw: suicide) 💛 Something blissfully cathartic about this bop, like laying out all the worst things in your life, screaming at the top of your lungs out the sunroof of your car, to let all that pain go. Probably one of my top songs of all time tbh.

I Think I'm OKAY by mgk, YUNGBLUD, Travis Barker has also been on recent rotation (definitely "as soon as I hear first guitar notes, I get happy") as I air drum my way through the work day (cw: suicide imagery/self harm). And for something actually not about depression, Cold Reactor by Everything Everything has been on repeat making me smile. That sweet, sweet rhythm and absurdist lyrics.

I don’t know, they just hit that specific neurodivergent itch that makes it so catchy. Seriously, House of Wolves, Under the Wool, Wake Me Up Before You Go and Cherry Pie are so ingrained in me that I instantly start singing it when it plays word for word regardless of how long ago I last heard it.

I’m sorry to say this, but I am going on hiatus for a while. Any and all BLOODMONEY projects are on hiatus for a little while as I need to focus on my family. I recently had a major death in my family and I need to be there for my husband and his family. @pami-the-bunterfly07 I will definitely still be doing something for your birthday, but it may be late by a few days.
