Currently I'm the only practitioner in my family but not the first generation. My mother used to practice when she was younger and my godmother dabbles (she also recieves messages from the dead and dreams of people's deaths the night before it happens! I've been trying to convince her to try Death witchcraft but she thinks dead people are too much of a hassle)

I don't believe in the three fold law! Magic is a force of nature like the wind and the tides and the progression of time. It doesn't care, it doesn't operate based on human morality. Just like the wind can cool you on a hot day, it can churn into a tornado or hurricane that wipes out entire towns. In neither situation is the wind vengeful or angry, it's just doing what wind does. Magic is the same. Nature is indifferent! That's why the circle of life revolves around animals killing eachother to survive.

I'm an eclectic witch! I love all types of witchcraft equally.

I'm not a fan of wicca unfortunately. It's nothing personal, the history of it is just really problematic imo.

Y’all I’m being so serious when I say this: go to the library for witchcraft reasons.

You can usually find books on witchcraft, yes, but there’s also field guides on local foraging and wildlife, cookbooks, books that teach you how to craft and DIY, books about environmental protection and stewardship, books on how to use herbs medicinally, books about other religions, cultures, and spiritual practices. My favorite local library even has a seed swapping program and fantastic resources to research your own family history!

Go to the library for witchcraft. Please. :) <3

Okayyyy so I did more hexes on my cousin (go to the comments of my last post abt her if you want context for why+her brother is a kiddie diddler and she defends him heavy) and she keeps getting hospitalized but never seems to learn and keeps trying me so I just keep doing spells on her.

Today she got hospitalized because while standing outside (we're moving) she randomly passed out on the spot and hit her face hard on the sidewalk. Doctors have literally no idea what could have caused it. Her tooth broke right in the middle and the broken half lodged itself deep in her lip and it was all swollen and she was all bloody and crying and now she has a lisp.

Everyone lowkey suspects me and they're right bc I did do it but geez what happened to skepticism >:/

My heart is breaking I think. I live in new england and it was raining the other day. On Christmas night my family were all using chatgpt and making ai recreate pictures of them. I told them it was killing the planet and they ignored me like I wasn't even there.

My mom doesn't even CARE that the planet is dying. She's fully aware of it and her response is "by the time it gets bad, I'll already be gone" how selfish of a mindset can someone have?

I keep seeing people online saying stuff like "ermm, nobody was actually burned in the witch trials 🤓☝️" and for one it's misinformation, and two it's annoying.

In the Salem witch trials, no one was burned, no, they were hung.

But in the European witch trials tens of thousands (40,000 — 60,000) people were executed, and the most common method of execution was burning at the stake, which is what people are referring to when they mention witches being burned. Not the Salem witch trials.

So if I see someone in the comments of one such post going "Nobody was burned in the witch trials🤓" I am going to lose my marbles!!!!

Here's a quick thing I picked up on in these last few months of beginning my spiritual journey as a witch.

Sorry I haven't been posting much lol

For some context I was working 40 hours a week and didn't have much time to eat (much less eat right) or sleep much, or watch tv shows or movies.

A thing I picked up on though was that the more I ate junk food, neglected rest and didn't have any time to take in anything new creatively, the worse and less effective my spells became. I felt like I was trying to utilize energy that my body and soul just did not have to give.

My hypothesis is that to build power and energy to be used in spellwork and such, you kind of have to take care of yourself and your body. Moving more, eating right, consuming media, taking time to connect with nature. (I've seen this online a few times so I'm pretty sure this is already common knowledge. I feel like a caveman who just discovered fire.)

I think that also ties into why doing your shadow work makes your spells more powerful. You're taking care of yourself. To be at your maximum power with an abundance of energy to send out, you have to take proper care of your body and your mind or you're just not gonna have enough energy to expend on spells.

When I got fired it was like a blessing in disguise. With more time to sleep without needing to worry about waking up before the sun, with more time to cook full healthy meals at home, with more time to spend with my pets and watching old TV shows my grandmother and I enjoyed when I was little, I feel that energy returning to me and my spells are hitting with more power :)

My ancestors would have wanted pasteurization, vaccines, antibiotics, disinfectants, birth control, psychiatric medications, pain management, anesthesia. My ancestors would have wanted to be able to keep their loved ones around longer, and not lose them too early/too soon to childbirths, injuries, bacterial infections, mental illnesses, and diseases that are curable and/or preventable in our modern day life.

Modern medicine saves lives.
