personally I'm annoyed by the socioeconomic conditions that made words like "unalive" necessary but simultaneously impressed by the linguistic adaptations young people have made to continue talking about important things while subject to those conditions and I think if you can't hold both of those thoughts in your head you might just be old man yelling at cloud
this is how new yorkers @ mamdani
Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.
Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.
No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.
He didn't do it.
The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.
Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?
From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.

One of the hardest things about the psych ward was leaving.. it was like a safe coccoon. I didn't want to go back to capitalism again.

The crux of the anti trans movement is a war on bodily autonomy. They don't want you to have any agency over what you look like, how you dress, who you date, whether to have kids, etc.
They want total control over you. Not just trans people. Not just queer people. You. Everyone.
Trans people are just a scapegoat. They want total control over everyone's self expression. They want the right to mold you into their perfect little cog in their dehumanizing machine.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility. Our rights are your rights. Our destruction is your destruction.
10/10 post bringing it back for 2026
Art commissions/merch ideas
I'm not in this world myself, but recently thought "huh.. wouldn't it be cool if I could buy x y or z from this artist?" So I compiled it into a list that I'll expand the more ideas pop up in my head.
KEEP IN MIND: this isn't a post to say "you should do these". It's a post saying "if you were thinking of a new way to sell or show your art but didn't know what, here are some ideas".
Calendars of your art. Bonus points if you don't add a year so they can be used any year (and you can add more calendars the more art you make).
Coloring books of your art. Especially doable if you're more of a black and white artist, but also doable if you are able to (and down to) redraw it without color (and if you make digital art this process will probably be a LOT smoother than traditional.)
Posters!! There's a website as well to help people make their own images into posters called rasterbator (aka rasterbator.net ). Feel free to take a look at that if that sounds like something you'd wanna do (even for your own walls).
Stickers. I know this one is already more common but I still thought it'd be a valuable one to mention.
Patches to either sew on or iron on.
Notebook covers. I honestly know very little about this so let me know if this isn't doable and I'll remove it from the list, but I think it would be really cool to have your art on the very front of notebooks. :)
Keychains. Also already being done but still felt it was a worthy mention. Especially in this new wave of trinket fixation.
Shirts/sweaters. Especially if you DIY this, make it limited edition so that you don't overwork yourself or anything.
Tote bags. Kind of in line with the clothing but a more simple and clear canvas to work on.
Diamond paintings. You can convert your art into a diamond painting via a diamond painting converter (aka https://diamondpaintingconverter.com/ ). Also cool as hell.
Jar/container stickers? Not sure if this is as popular or cool as I think it is but some people looove replacing their random items' jars and bottles with self made stickers or random stickers they find. Maybe a little too niche but it's an idea. Could also be done on flower pots, packaging, etc.. anything that contains something really.
Pins. Especially badge/button pins are easier to make than enamel pins.
To all the artists out there, please drop your ko-fi or anywhere else you sell your art!!! I wanna take a look and hopefully those who see this post do too. :)
And to everyone else wanting to commission someone, looking for gift ideas, etc.. please check the comments to find artists who sell their art!
If you see a community of people missing from a chunk of history (Queer/trans/religious ect) and your immediate thought is "oh they didnt exist then" instead of "oh shit these people had a bunch of their history erased" you have fallen for genocidal propaganda.
I reblogged this yesterday, but I want to reblog it again. Diabetic ketoacidosis turns your blood acidic and will essentially burn you from the inside out.
The stories you hear of people dying from rationing, this is what happens to their body.
Affordable insulin isn’t just a right, it’s a necessity.
No one should have to die like that when it’s preventable with access to proper medication.
happy trans day of visibility🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hey so turns out I have the closing shift at my new office job! All by myself! So I now get paranoid because I didn't realize I would have to close off. In the dark. By myself.
Anyone dealing with paranoia issues or anything like that? I need advice :'))
I want to bring my plushies (1 at a time) out in public so bad but I'm scared a random kid is gonna want it and idk how to react to that as an adult 😭
