kendall  always  found  herself  drawn  to  bookshops.  they  were  like  a  magnet  to  her,  calling  her  closer.  she  most  definitely  didn't  need  any  more  books,  that  was  for  sure,  but  she  just  couldn't  help  herself.  especially  when  there  was  a  cute  little  tea  shop  attached!  “hi,  this  place  is  honestly  super  adorable!”  she  grinned  as  she  looked  around  her.  “how  long  has  this  been  here?  how  could  i  have  missed  it?”  she  tutted  playfully.  “this  might  just  be  my  favourite  place  in  the  city.”  kendall  chuckled  softly.

Vivienne looked up at the woman walking through the door, a small smile immediately coming to her face. "We've been here for a couple months," She placed her bookmark into her book and stood up from her stool. "I'm Vivienne. We do specialty tea, a little pastries, and it's not a huge bookshop but we do have a small collection to peruse through."

"I am from England...in the 1800s," he explained. That was essentially the answer to her first question too, and he found it easier to answer that part first, as way of explanation. "I suppose that would be why I would wish to leave. I have no issue with the 21st century, but I am not from here. And back home, I..." he hesitated, deciding not to mention that the twins were biologically his brother's. "I have two children. It is difficult, being here without them."

Gigi's eyes lit up at her words and before she could stop the word vomit, it all came out. "So am I - well, the 1800s not the England part." She doesn't find many people besides other supernatural beings that come from the same time period as her. "But that's where we differ - I love different time periods and I sure as hell don't want to go back to mine." Her eyes softened at the mention of children. "I'm sorry to hear that - what are they ages?"

Harley couldn't help but smile at that. "It can be, but I gotta make sure I can give some good one-liners when I fight, you know? I can't be sounding like a loser." She chuckled. "Yes, please. Thank you! I need to be soaked in grease. I bet that would help too...but the food sounds better."

"Harley Quinn a loser?! That is not even a little possible." Gigi teased, holding a hand out to help the girl stand up. "Being soaked in grease sounds like a really terrible kink to have. Let's skip that and get a good breakfast sandwich, please."

"What are we talking about when we talk powers?" Gigi asked curiously. She had experienced a lot in life but was she talking literally or supernaturally? "Like flying or like...immortal?"

"i like the fact it makes me just slow down and focus on just this. certainly keeps me thoughts of just wandering," aerith answered with a soft and warm laugh. her hands kept moving even as her eyes wandered over to the other. "honestly i'm still learning. i feel like it's eh but i'll get better in time i'm sure."

sabrina nodded in understanding, a small smile on her face. "i get that - i am kind of a workaholic. i think that's why i like to run - it makes me feel productive without having to have mind working, if that makes sense."

"you know, that does make sense. i don't know much about if allergies transfer that way but if they do, i could see the restrictions having a purpose. " sabrina smiled softly, shrugging at his question. "i don't know much about cat breeds, to be fair, but kit kind of has like a regal feel to it. because i like the law too much to stop studying it. i want to be a lawyer."

"you're my kind of girl," sophie smiled softly as she started to move around the shop, gathering supplies. "sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower - they brighten up any room they're in."

sophie was eyeing her case, some new carnations catching her eye. she turned to cami, a small smile on her face. "do you trust me? i think that carnations would be perfect for you." she grabbed a single flower turning to hand it to cami. "it's yellow, brightens up a room, AND they're very easy to take care of. they only question i have is pets? because you really don't want them to eat them, you know?"

"we do have lillies and sunflowers. i could do a bouquet mix of them? we have some pretty vases for them as well."

"When I was little, the portal only ever opened for a little bit of time on Halloween night but when I got older that was changed so that it was easy to pass through on every day life," Sophie explained. "Oooh, a traveling trip?! Heck yes!"

Sophie nodded as she moved around the store, putting the flowers together in the paper packaging. "Do you have a vase for them or would you like to look at small selection we have?" She asked, smiling at her. "It is! Piper & Petals is my baby."

sophie raised an eyebrow at the other's words. "dragons? like actual dragons? do they exist where you're from?" she loved learning about other places and cultures. "i know someone who had an armadillo has a pet."

"It sounds like someone is putting something in the water around here," She wanted to be able to put her at ease but Cassie didn't know exactly what to say or how. She sounded crazy but was? Cassie had heard some crazy things while being here in DC. "I don't think you're crazy - I was always told to trust my gut instinct, you know? So if you're gut says something is off, you should trust it."

I'm like an infant when it comes to a lot of stuff in this world."

"My mom was a pretty smart lady," Sophie smiled at the thought of her mom. She missed her more than anything while being here in Washington D.C. "You don't remember agreeing with it? Study group for what?" She moved to stand, wiping her hands on her jeans. "We could head to my shop now? I'll even supply dinner," She teased with a small smile.

"Now that is a good question. You know, I wouldn't mind being able to make an authentic Indian dish, given that it is my culture." Edwina admitted. "Maybe make something like they did back home."

"I don't know if I've ever had an authentic Indian dish, if I am going to be honest." Sophie smiled at Edwina's words. "I have a recipe book of my grandma's that I'd love to go through and like experiment with."
