I get why our current general societal thing is to say it doesn't matter which undiagnosed mental illnesses you had when you behaved badly because you should still be accountable for your own actions & I actually agree with that in many ways. however I think some people have gotten overly fatalistic about how much simply knowing what your own deal is can transform your life basically overnight if you actually hold yourself to treating your own mental health properly. like I do not think figuring out I had OCD solved all my problems but it explained 90% of the most fraught online social experiences I have had cyclically throughout my adult life and once I got treatment for it I never had that specific issue ever again. sometimes it IS that easy.

One thing that kind of annoys me about YFNSM isn't the show itself, but the fact it doesn't get advertised

Season two is supposedly coming this autumn, yet the only reason I know that is because I'm a huge fan and I follow Jeff on Instagram... but other than that and an article or two it hasn't been mentioned whatsoever.

Even when season one released there was also barely any advertising done and to me it seems the only people who heard about it were specifically Spider-Man fans, as I'd mention YFNSM to non-Spidey fans and they'd genuinely look interested in the show, but they had heard nothing of it because they don't have Disney+ and aren't checking the Spider-Man subreddit or wherever.

Despite Autumn coming in literally less than a month, we're still yet to have a release date which I think is just a little weird lol. I expect we'll see season two come out during November some time because it would be odd if we only had a couple weeks preparation for season two coming in September LOL

I'm not super serious and I am extremely happy that YFNSM is coming out so quickly so we don't have to wait four years for the next instalment like most TV nowadays, but it feels very blind :P

Also MERCH!!! Genuinely where's the merch? We've gotten a few funko pops (which btw I believe is only 3 Peters despite the amount of suits he had, the Venom alien thingy and Dr Strange) a blind bag key chain collection, an art book (can it be considered merch? idk) and I oddly discovered Hot Topic had Nico Minoru merch one time?

Other than that, there's an action figure of Peter for £268, which in fairness looks very cool, but it's sad that's all the merch (I think) we've gotten... turn Peter into a marketable plush!

I mean I assume the reason they're not doing merch is because it won't sell, BUT IF THEY ACTUALLY ADVERTISED THE SHOW IT WOULD?!

I'd say I hope season two will bring more merchandise and more fans, but I don't really expect that considering they're not advertising the show itself that much </3
