I stare at the screen A blinking line laughing at me As I wonder what to write And the words that I should Thinking of all the time That is burning away Wondering when the words will come When the sentences will form With them coming meaning Ive only ever felt before For love with a limitless thing With a million ways to express it But I choose this manner Limiting myself to these letters In the hope of maybe Finally putting the right ones together

i kiss her lips our cheeks flushed in the night the snow falling onto our faces each becoming a droplet there and then simply not like our minds in the moment the night enveloping us the storm growing around us matching our beating hearts as we pull away our eyes raise toward the sky under a lone streetlight we watch the snow continue to fall the moon the only witness to a moment so perfect only two of us illuminated in the night framed in the snow in a moment from a dream our dream in the snow

The secret to happiness

Or a lost love

There was something about the way her eyes shined

That captivated me to stay

There was something about the passion in her voice

That welcomed me

There was something about her smile

That made me follow suit

And as I laid there, close but so far

I pictured further smiles gracing her face

I imagined her body held against mind

I dreamt of a time of a future bright

Realization set in about the past

How maybe everything was for a reason

Or maybe I looked for a reason

As to why her lips were so close to mine

But yet too far

I dreamt about you

We were actually together

What a wonderful thought

We were sitting under the stars

Your body laid against mine

Our hands resting together

For the first time

And then I woke up

I didn’t have you anymore
