I'm sorry for being very inactive. Lately, I've been dealing with many irl things, like starting work. Another issue is that combined with mental help issues, I've also dealt with hateful replies and the dreaded "kys" anon ask. So,while I don't plan to delete this blog,I do not plan to come back for a very long time, of at all. Once again,I am very sorry.

Halle Bailey is gorgeous, stunning, adorable, and absolutely thriving as Ariel. Her voice is so perfect, she captures Ariels curiosity and wit and joy and UGH. Jonah Hauer-King was a perfect Eric. Man was LONGING. HE WAS AN EXPLORER, A COLLECTOR, HE WOULD SWEEP ME OF MY NEWLY FORMED FEET TOO. I adore Javier Bardem as Triton idk he just feels warmer and more doting while still be an overly protective parent. And Melissa McCarthy was 20/10 as Ursula. Like,the biggest surprise of the film by far. I loved all of it. And while I'm at it, hey Daveed Diggs. You were awesome too. Honestly everyone was great.

I'm tired of certain atheistframing religion as inherently evil. Not only is that saying all religions are the same (they aren't), they usually just mean Christianity (it isn't), blame the people who use religion for hate instead of generalizing and acting like anyone who believes in a deity is personally responsible for your religious trauma.

(Not all atheist are like this obviously. Just the ones with their head up their ass.)

i was looking at a characters fandom wiki page and someone in the comments referred to the characters non-binary-ness as a “plot twist” despite their gender having 0 impact on the plot. like the biggest impact them coming out left on the show was that the other characters started using their pronouns

I- hm. The fact it's thought of as a plot twist feels icky.
