When I thought I just saw the most gorgeous, stylish, beautiful, cunty grandma of all time but it was actually just Deforest Kelley
I was rewatching The Enemy Within and all I could think about is how this was literally Kirkās headspace throughout the whole episode:
You can buy them now ??!
Bill Shatner is all āSpirk isnāt canon !! you guys are so stupid !! theyāre just friends !!ā Baby then what was all that you were doing every week for three years in a row⦠were you actually just really in love with Leonard Nimoy because thatās the only other explanation i can think of
I find it funny that the author of Star Trek invented a Vulcan word to describe Jim and Spock's relationship. A word that means "friend, brother, and lover." Then he spends an entire page justifying the "lover" part, saying it was just a metaphor. An entire page when he could have avoided any misunderstanding if he had simply stated that the word meant "friend, brother." Nobody would have speculated or complained because, after all, he CREATED the word.
tag your traumatized man comfort character
samfro. to me.
wowee
anyways
"Samwise Gamgee is considered to be a real hero of the Lord of the Rings for me, not Frodo" Samwise Gamgee is considering fucking murdering you the second you ever think about uttering this sentence.
I love reading all the theories about who wrote each part of LoTR and how, and my favourite addition to it is probably the idea of Sam actually writing/editing his own POV parts in all three main books, which is also painfully obvious.
Because when Frodo describes himself we don't really have much of description of his looks or/and oftenly his personality. We know what he says, what he thinks and what he does but it is rarely accompanied with any kind of physical description from him, because he has no desire to describe himsef detailingly.
When we move to Sam's pov, however, we have whole multi-paragraph description of how beautiful Frodo is, how his almost transparent skin shines under the sun, how peaceful his face is in his sleep, how cheerful is his laugh and how painful it is to look at his hardships. Like, the difference beetwen Frodo from general pov and Sam's POV is incredibly sweet and so, so funny.
Frodo: This is Frodo. Frodo is Just A Guy. He's currently going through the worst time of his life. Frodo looks like Frodo. Please, let him exist in this mortal plane for one more second.
Sam: This is the most beautiful creature and being on the whole Middle Earth. There's no one braver and better and more resilient than him. Here's twenty paragraphs about how wonderful he is and how beautiful his naked skin is in a Mordor Torture Chamber. I love him so much did you know that Frodo Baggins is so majestic. Did you know that.
sam when literally anyone dares to breathe in frodo's direction wrong:
This global Beatles day, tell us the story of how you got into the Beatles!
Me personally, my parents always had the Beatles playing around the house. They had their ā1ā cd and I would play it all the time. (Almost breaking the cd player in the process.) Anyway, since I was so little, I was obviously drawn to āYellow Submarine,ā and I would always skip to that track.
Since I wasnāt fluent in English at that time, (I was four,) I would ask my mom, āWhy do they keep saying, āyeah yeah yeahā? What does that mean?ā She had no idea how to respond.
I became a real beatlemaniac a boy a year ago, and I have been lost in the mania since. š
Reblog and tell me how YOU got into them? (Anyone can reblog btw)

ty for the tag and happy beatles day!!!!!!
Okay, when i was little my mom would sing to me at night when i went to sleep. One of the songs she would sing was āAll My Lovingā and so i always liked that song. Then over time i heard other beatles songs too but i never really thought anything of them, i had a few in my playlist tho but that was about it.
Now fast forward a few years and they just announced the beatles biopics. I keep seeing it all over the internet and me and my friend would be like āthese casting choices are not great and we dont even listen to the beatlesā ššš And then we started listening to them and became fans. ššš
then i started drawing them because i was uninspired one day and then kind of⦠never stopped drawing them!! i made a blog on tumblr and then fast forward a year and here we are!!!!!!! yay!!!!! i love the beatles!!!!!!!

thanks for the tag :))
by default i had like a normal amount of beatles stuff in my life like singing all you need is love for elementary school graduation and stuff.... unfortunately i did NOT like that song so there was a period when i hated the beatles š funnily enough we didnt use pomp and circumstance for my hs graduation it was actually here comes the sun. what a way to go out
when i was getting into animation i really liked the visual style of yellow submarine so i watched that but that was before i was actually into the beatles lmao?? and i had some songs on my playlist by them but i never really actively interacted with them,,
last summer my friend sent me a beatles animation because the audio was funny and then i kept getting beatles content on instagram reels,,, i wish i had a like "beatles is bound to my heart and soul" story but its straight up i liked the mclennon edits and got intrigued with the community and music history. also i got really into drawing them but i havent done that as of late !!! so i might try to get back into that since i have more time on my hands :o)
outside of like actually getting into them i heard a lot of while my guitar gently weeps because of jake shimabukuros ukulele rendition (very fire)(heard it when i was like 4 so that stuck with me), kubo and the 2 strings, and i guess destroying a world that doesnt exist but i was already into the beatles so i just screamed loudly when that happened. i miss avery and derek
@st-johns-wood @lovers-and-dreamers and anyone else who wants to join :))
thank you for the tag, im honored :)
i dont really recall exactly how it happened, though i vaguely remember saving beatles memes to my camera roll from pinterest because i thought they were funny, and also amused that people liked the beatles so much they made memes about them.
then i started looking at pictures of paul mccartney on pinterest because i thought he was cute, but quickly realized i preferred george for an inexplicable reason. i also just thought he was nice to look at, funny, and autistic.
i told my mom that i was interested in the beatles, and she recommended we watch the hard days night movie together.
i was going to a very small alternative high school at the time (like 7 people in my grade) and i shared with my pop culture teacher that i was getting into the beatles and wanted to watch their first movie for class. we were going by decade and were approaching the 60ās, so he agreed and we watched it and i was really normal about it (shaking and sweating the whole time).
it kind of snowballed from there, i started listening to their music pretty much every single day for 7 months straight (albeit slightly out of order), listened to more of georges solo work, watched get back, and then started collecting vinyl.

Thanks for the tag !! :) <3
Soo funny story me and my family actually grew up Beatles haters. I knew literally nothing about them and the only songs I knew were Help! and Here Comes The Sun. The only reason we were really even haters was just bcuz we didnāt know much about them and from the songs we did know we were quick to judge and just assumed all their songs were the same like, copy and paste rock n roll style love songs (having no idea they basically invented that kind of rock). I didnāt pay much more attention to them and overall I was raised on piano rock (like Elton and Billy) and 2000s emo bands, so the Beatles wouldnāt have even been in my league.
It wasnāt until 2023 that I started listening to them (and actually learned the names of the members). I started going back into my roots again of music I grew up on like Elton John and Billy Joel, which made me go down a rabbit hole of listening to older music in general. I decided, āwhy not give The Beatles a go ?? They gotta be super famous for some reason.ā I wasnāt expecting to get really into them; just kinda thought I would like a couple of their songs here and there and listen to them every so often. But then I heard Nowhere Man⦠and that started it all. I remember it vividly too I was sitting on the worldās most uncomfortable couch in the corner of my living room, and it came on when I hit shuffle on their Spotify page.
Since then there has not been a day that goes by where I donāt listen to The Beatles. I would classify myself as being beyond a diehard fan. I own countless merch and posters, as well as a pretty heavy collection of their records (up to 42 now, mostly of original pressings, including their solo career records). Iāve seen Paul McCartney live and I think about that night pretty much every day and it still makes me tear up. Iāve memorized their history and like everything that there is to know about them simply because it just brings me so much joy to know stuff about them. The Beatles bring me an emotion thatās indescribable. Simply just indescribable. Best band of all time and Iām honestly happy that I wasnāt raised on them. Because Iām happy to have this emotional, progressive feeling attached to them and their music rather than a nostalgic one.
I donāt have any Beatles moots except for Elliot so sorry I donāt have anyone to add:( I at least hope you enjoyed my story about how I fell in love with the best band of all time !!!
