Hello!! Welcome to our blog. We're the PaperHeartsCollective, but you can call us Bat or Paper

We are a black, bodily adult system in our 20s (i'm not putting the exact age because i am not going to remember to come back and edit this every year)

Please use she/her pronouns for us unless you're talking to an individual alter who has requested otherwise

We do not identify with any system origin label and do not try and assign one to us

We are incredibly neurodivergent and predominately fictive heavy

This blog is going to be a mixture of system things and other mental health related posts and reblogs. We're not currently in therapy and seriously need an outlet

This is also a side blog. Which means unfortunately I cannot follow back

As of right now this isn't a minors dni blog, but we'd prefer if only other bodily adults dmed us

We are not interested in any discourse at all. That being said this is a safe space for systems of any origin type.

This is not however a safe space for bigots. So no racists, homophobes, terfs, xenophobes, or zionists. As well no radqueers or transids. I'm aware i can't stop you from actually interacting but if i sus you out you will be blocked.

We're also a proshipper so if that's something that's going to turn you off might as well stay away now instead of leaving hate later. Telling me to off myself isn't creative.

With all of that out of the way, I hope you decide to stick around. My dms are open and I'd love to chat. I do however work 40 hours a week so if i'm a little dry it's because i'm tired, not because I'm disinterested.

dyscalculia is the most under researched, least understood, and most ignored learning disability because "everyone struggles with math"

dyscalculia is therefore the least diagnosed and accommodated, which is really bad because we're sending an unknown number of people out into the world with a literal 3rd grade math ability

dyscalculia is so much more than math; it's timing, rhythm, counting, shapes, navigation, depth perception, and so much more

Shout out to people with dyscalculia or math struggles, basically. I am with you. I am here for you. I see you. It sucks, and most of the world doesn't even know about dyscalculia. But it'll be ok. It won't go away but people will help you, you can adapt. I love you. Screw math ❤

DYSCALCULIA TOOL ALERT!

This is an acrylic magnifying glass with a green strip in it that helps you read long strings of numbers! It's been known for a while that putting a colored filter over pages can help people with dyscalculia read numbers without them flipping places, but this is the first time I've seen something so simple and accessible. I put it on some test numbers and my eyes didn't feel like they kept wanting to jump around all over the number. I can keep this on my desk and use it on paper, or hold it up to my monitor to read long numbers at work! It may help people in other ways as well, this is just what I bought it for and I already love it!

I found it at a Daiso location, but there are probably others online.

Some people may feel anxious when having to undertake any mathematics related tasks and so may avoid situations where they have to do this, such as paying bills or working with numbers. I need every single person to understand how horrible tumblr’s tagging system is

I go into the tag for epilepsy and its all flashing lights. We can’t use our own tag because people without epilepsy fill it up with improper warnings.

Use ‘flashing’ in place of ‘epilepsy’ in your tags. You aren’t warning people of epileptics, you’re warning us of flashing lights. Please please tag properly. Epileptics say this endlessly and constantly and it’s ignored. You are risking lives by doing this.

A good SimplyPlural and Octocon alternative has FINALLY arrived. And can I say this is such an overpowered application?
