In a moment of internet disconnection, I was looking for something to entertain me, and I found myself playing with the dinosaur in Google Chrome. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that our lives in Gaza are just like this game — we keep pushing forward, trying to survive despite the many obstacles, just like the dinosaur jumping over them. 🦖💔
But here, the obstacles are much bigger than just pixelated ones on a screen.
But despite these small moments of entertainment, the reality in Gaza is far from fun. We live day by day in complete darkness, no electricity, no internet, and no aid reaching us.
The crossing is closed, and we watch as hope slips away day by day. Nothing is coming. We are stuck in these tragic circumstances. There is no food to keep our children alive, and we have nothing but pain and fear. Hunger is tearing us apart, and we watch our children suffer in front of us, unable to do anything.
I am Kareman, a Palestinian mother from Gaza and a teacher. I used to be awarded "Best Teacher" every year, always striving to be an inspiration for my students. But today, even education has become a distant dream because of the dire situation we face. We are truly living in a catastrophe, and hunger and fear are overwhelming our lives.
I need you now more than ever. Our lives are in danger, our children are hungry, and we are waiting for anything to save us from this darkness. If your heart has compassion, and if you can help with any amount, even a small contribution, it will change our lives.

As far as I know, Korean churches only started implementing these red neon crosses in the 1960s, so they wouldn’t have existed during the Korean War, but what’s historical accuracy to a visually bold idea? The crosses are supposed to act as a beacon so people can see the church for miles and know that they’re welcome, but a lot of people find them to be a nuisance, and they contribute a lot to light pollution. I had that idea in my head while drawing this. I could say a lot about this drawing but I shan’t because I want everyone to have their own idea about it <3 Please tell me what you think !!
Drawing this ambulance nearly killed me and you can barely see the details anymore 😭 You can tell in the closeups that the quality is a little low, that’s because I had to compress it a lot so nightshade wouldn’t explode my computer. All in all it’s not that bad. A textured brush hides a multitude of sins.

So a lot of new shit dropped in the latest Minecraft update but obviously I only care about the pigs. Let's discuss breeds!
Starting off with the original pig just because— this little guy's probably a Landrace pig!
They're some of the most standard domestic pigs out there along with Yorkshires, but Yorkshires have perkier ears. Landrace pig ears lay flat much more similarly to our Minecraft pigs!
Next we have the warm pigs. These babies are probably Durocs!
Look how red and beautiful they are! There aren't many common red pigs, so it was really between these guys and Tamworths. Tamworths are an Irish breed, so they don't come from a particularly hot climate. Durocs however originated from Africa from what I researched!
And finally we have the cold pigs. These guys are most definitely Mangalicas!
These guys are like. One of the most prominent breeds with thick creamy hair to keep them warm. They're also Hungarian! They're also my favorite pig breed!!!!!

in this au, they all met due to working within the castle grounds.
in this au, celestia is queen, luna is still banished, and twilight is discouraged from making friends as it distracts her from her studies. she is celestia's heir and grew up in the castle.
my only advice is to BE CAREFUL posting about holiday traditions around europeans. you'll post something casual like "anyone else watch the old Grinch movie every year? what a classic" and a european will appear as if summoned and say some shit like "funny how USAmericans always CONVENIENTLY forget that Not Everyone On Earth is from The USA…….. no of COURSE we dont watch 'the grunch' or whatever the fuck that is…. our tradition is to attend a community showing of Glummdorf the Racial Stereotype"
Being a very poor painter, Magritte's works seldom resembled what he intended them to. This attempt at a glass key ended up looking like a rock in a mountain landscape.
Other mispainted works included his attempt at a self portrait, which looked like a slice of ham with an eyeball; his painting "Heartstrings" which resembled a cloud in a glass; and perhaps his most famous failure, "This is Not a Pipe," which sadly very clearly showed a pipe.
