UPDATE ON SUNNY (aka Big Boss: Cat Edition, Nick Furry):

Hey guys. So news. Today Sunny went to the vet to get his pre-op exam, and we have learned a couple things:

1) Sunny has a slight heart murmur. Now the veterinarian not sure whether it was because he was in an unfamiliar environment and that was just a cause from the stress of it, or if it is a consistant thing that he has been dealing with that we just have been unaware of so far, as it does happen in older cats (and Sunny is 12 years old). But, this will more than likely effect how they proceed with the surgery when he gets it.

2) The eye is causing him pain, which we pretty much already knew, but the veterinarian gave definite confirmation and it may be causing swelling that is pushing inside of his skull against his brain, from how they explained it to me.

Which brings me to

3) As you can see from above, the surgery is finally estimated to be either $845.90 or $913.90, and this price is completely dependent on what kind of mediation he will need post op. Then the cost of him getting bloodwork and vaccinations today was $362.99, which came out of the fund we already had for Sunny (again, thank you all who donated).

Which means we are once again a bit short. I hate to have to come and ask again, but if anyone can help by donating so that Sunny can get the eye removed. I hate that my cat is currently living in any kind of pain or discomfort, and just want this for his well-being. So please, if anyone can, I would greatly appreciate it.

Pls be kind to Cheritz

I don’t usually do posts like this, so I’m gonna try to keep it short. Cheritz has been nice enough to keep fans updated about things happening at Otakon on their twitter and tumblr to make fans who weren’t able to attend the con still feel included, as well as allowing them to participate in the QnA, which is very nice of them. However, I’ve seen people on these posts being 1) angry about not being able to go to the con and saying that cheritz doesn’t care about their fans and 2) saying that because cheritz cut the line to the signings and panel, they don’t appreciate their fans.

I wasn’t able to get into the signing the one day I was able to attend Otakon, so I understand how those people felt, waiting an hour in line just to be cut out, but please understand that these people flew halfway across the world to meet you, and saying that they “don’t appreciate their fans” because they wouldn’t sign a piece of paper for you is a bit unreasonable. And I am aware that the signing started half an hour late and ended early on saturday, but that was most likely because they had to prepare for the panel (which, by the way, was fucking awesome), and the late start might have been because of jetlag (I’ve visited China almost every summer and I still take at least a week to get over jetlag, there’s no way these people could do it in a few days). I was also told by the lady at the autograph line (who was really cool by the way) that cheritz had gotten through pretty much the whole line, including overflow, the day before. So there’s absolutely no way they “don’t care about their fans.”

As for people who weren’t able to attend the con saying that cheritz didn’t appreciate their fans, besides the fact that this whole event was, well, for the fans, one particular comment I found had said that “only a small part of the fandom was able to attend the con.” I’m not sure if this person had seen any pictures or posts from the con, but there was never not a huge line in front of the cheritz booth and all the signings and the panel were completely packed and overflowed. If any more of the fandom had been able to attend, it would have been complete chaos. It’s perfectly ok to ask cheritz to come to your state/country, as long as you’re polite about it, but please don’t be rude because you couldn’t attend this specific convention.

Hello- i really hope im not bothering anyone with this question... but im just super curious if anyone wants to share their experiences.

I am currently in recovery for anorexia. Ive been skating a super thin line on my weight, for some reason i just havent been able to gain much, let alone keep it on. My therapist wants to send me to inpatient, but ive only been allowed to stay out because of my willingness to do whatever it takes to recover on an outpatient basis, and im also starting my next college semester soon and i dont want to miss it if i can.

Anyways, with my having trouble gaining weight, shes put me on a "milkshake diet". Basically, i eat a huge milkshake every day on top of my regular meals. I suppose the point is extreme caloric density without overwhelming me with a ton of food. I....really appreciate that approach, to be honest. Has anyone else ever done this, or is it just my therapist?

Please dont feel pressured to reveal too much detail if anyone answers, i know these issues are very private and im just wondering if anyone here has had this done before.
