Few things piss me off more than when I am engaging with some medical thing, and they explicitly ask for "sex assigned at birth" when the medical issue in question has nothing to do with sex assigned at birth and to notate such would lead to worse medical outcomes because the sex difference is actually due to active hormonal environment rather than AGAB.

I think this is done largely because they are like "ok lets be more inclusive" or whatever but they are too lazy to actually look up why a sex difference is important, and as people in the west are mindlessly transphobic they always automatically assume trans woman = man, etc medically when if they are on HRT that literally is almost never the case!

So even being charitable and assuming that they are trying to be inclusive - they're literally just going out of their way to be transphobic and are ingraining false transphobic ideas further into people's assumptions in ways that are not only discriminatory but medically dangerous!

I am a materialist, and feel if something else exists it likely will present itself. But it is clear that all evidence shows the supervenience of the ideal on the material, though we may not fully understand the material and we may falsely extend patterns to places they don't belong like newtonian physics don't work universally on a larger space and timescale. I think what bothers me is that our idea of the ideal is corrupted by certainly false cultural creations so an idealist starts from false premises based on religion and so when they extend logically in the idealist space there is a whole lot of bullshit based on plato and souls and so on. That vs denying the experience of the actual experiential and the fact that we have created ideal tools. I guess that's related to the question of if math exists outside of the material or if it is a tool we created to understand it. Maybe the materialist vs idealist conflict is a confusion of features as being something separate from the thing. An adjective vs a verb vs a noun?

Adjectives, verbs, and nouns exist. But it would be incorrect to view an adjective or a verb as another type of noun instead of features of a noun. Though in terms of experience and ideas, it certainly feels like they are nouns as we think about them in that way.

We do view an "idea" or "energy" or "time" or "math" or "features" to be nouns though, so perhaps this is a confusing example. And I think I confused myself.

theres definitely a line of thought ive noticed in liberal circles and in media and stuff where they think that bad stuff works and is true but is just bad for some moral reason.

Geeky cringe straight girls have always existed, and I don't think they were ever meant to be gods strongest soldiers. I've come to the conclusion that whatever plan people have for the world getting better is going to have to account for the fact that 30% of the population is so cringe they are effectively unfunctional in any productive sense, and until you reach acceptance of this fact from experience you're going to feel really hopeless and stressed out. Every single minority has to suffer its own loud dumbasses and I don't think there is a way to avoid that.
