fun fact about me is that when i was a kid id write capital E’s with as many of those little horizontal lines as possible and id call them ladder E’s and adults fucking hated them

So far I’ve got

ladder letters: A, E, F, H, T

humpback B’s and P’s get as many bumps as you think they need

circle O’s, you just keep spiraling in til you feel like you’ve made your point

tree letters branch into smaller versions of themselves ad nauseum: X, Y

spider Q’s, so many legs

Please add your own unsettling godtier capitals!

It took over ten hours between hearing about Biruté Galdikas's death and seeing it reported by any major outlet, and even now, the day after it happened, most of the news articles are still about somebody else.

She was certainly the most reclusive of the trimates, but man, even in death she can't escape Goodall's shadow.

Galdikas was to orangutans what Goodall was to chimps and Fossey was to gorillas. Her work forms the basis for basically everything we know about them.

Anthropology lost someone important yesterday, even if her work and field station were controversial at times. It would be nice to recognize her for her.
