quick final edit cause holy shit this blew up more than i thought it would: first of all thank you for the support on this, and im glad this post has done its job on informing others about the situation on why gooseworx deleted her reddit account. i also recommend doing your own research and coming up with your conclusions about this when you can because admittedly this post isn't the best and i could've missed some details. also please note there is still the possibility that goose could've gotten harassing dms on both reddit and twitter, this post is only to show what happened to cause gooseworx to delete her reddit account.
absolutely DO NOT use this post to go harass others and ESPECIALLY DO NOT USE IT TO HATE ON GOOSEWORX, shes not a villain or anything of sort here, all she did was make a mistake and thats okay. we’re all human and make mistakes at the end of the day, she shouldn’t be getting hate or coddled for it. She should be allowed to heal and move on from it.
Its the people who took this escalated the situation who are the problem and even then that doesn't mean they deserve hate or harassment sent their way.

since I’m tired of misinformation and people assuming things of this situation here’s what actually happened on Reddit which lead to gooseworx deleting her account

the deleted comment was a comment left by gooseworx, here’s what it said
This was a thread made by the op of the thread after the announcement of races main characters, expressing disappointment at the neglect of ragatha in the narrative. To which gooseworx replied to it in a way that can be read as passive aggressive (although I won’t say it was bad faith rather just annoyance). Two commenters (the op and another person in the thread) responded to give more criticism about the pacing of ragathas character and her relationship with Pomni. Gooseworx, realizing she didn’t take the criticism well, deleted the comment and then deleted her account.
so yeah the two commenters gave criticism that admittedly could have been better written but doesn’t really come off as extremely hostile or bitchy and was especially not harassment. That’s how this really went down, just people giving understandable criticism about the show and venting about a writing decision in a fan driven subreddit. No harassment, no whining or bitching, and no name calling.

This comment was made by the threads op and even they admit they didn’t go into goose’s dms, which reads to me that they didn’t go out of their way to personally harass her. (You can see the other commenters acknowledgment in the edit of their comment they made in the first screenshot although it honestly was a little rude and unwarranted)
gooseworx has even said that the problem was not criticism.
The overwhelming stress of dealing with the finale was getting to her and this thread was just the straw that broke the camels back, which was a long time coming from the stress of handling a successful indie show and a berating fanbase.
criticism is not a issue, people have a right to criticize a piece of a media they enjoy, they have a right to be disappointed in the exclusion of ragatha as a main character. Ofc people should handle their criticism in a respectful way but these guys in the thread didn’t seem really disrespectful moreso just blunt.
this isn’t to say that gooseworx wasn’t harassed or there weren’t people who were immature about their criticisms. What I’m trying to do is to set the facts straight and show evidence of what happened. She wasn’t harassed off of Reddit. She left an admittedly immature response, realized she messed up and deleted her account out of panic.
People (both fan and creator) using this situation as a means to dismiss criticism, insult and harass people, spread misinformation about the situation, use it to demean ragatha fans or to hate on Ragatha or wanting her killed off (she’s a childhood abuse victim btw) to spite ragatha fans is seriously immature and not helping the situation. Frankly you guys are part of the problem.
i will say that I do feel bad for Gooseworx and I do hope she gets better and recovers from this. Heading a large successful indie show is not an easy feat and can absolutely cause a lot of mental strain. I wish her the best.
