Bubbline x Carol (2015)

Based on “Escort” by @breeeliss

I used a bit of a different art style to make this because I felt like it would’ve been harder to convey the emotions in the “Adventure Time” style I usually use. How the storyboard artists on the show create such strong emotions in such a simple style is beyond me. :0c Anywho, I promise I drew this ahaha.

@breeeliss Thank you so much for giving me permission to do this! I’m not much of a comic artist, so this took a bit of trial and error, but I also had a lot of fun with it! I hope I did your fic justice. :)

YES!! tbh, I didn’t use to when the show was still airing but I’ve started watching episodes recently and something about Jori just caught my attention? Then I realized holy shit this reminds me so much of Bubbline?? So maybe that’s why I started shipping them?

After just getting back into the fandom, hearing about how Adventure Time’s going to end in two years time broke my heart, but that being said, I’m really glad that I rediscovered it.

The struggles that PB faces with balancing responsibility and putting aside time to spend with those you love really made me think about my own choices and how I’ve let important things in my life slip away. I remember I didn’t really like PB when I was younger, but after growing up and going through stress over having to make difficult choices, I grew really fond of her. (And also the fact that she’s a BOMBTASTIC scientist).

Though I’ve missed a few years (and I’m still catching up on episodes), I’m really excited to experience the last two years of Adventure Time with this amazing fandom.
