Thank you for being normal about Twitter peeps coming to Tumblr. I get people are concerned about the hellsite losing its sparkle but some people are just being ridiculous about it.

People are afraid of change. That their world will change.

And they think Tumblr will change if these Twitter refugees show up.

But the mechanics of this site fundamentally mean it won't work that way. We already curate our own experiences here. We can choose who we do and don't see. Whether it was the hardcore porn bots of old or just annoying people -- it's already how the place functions.

And also, Tumblr has changed and will change. It's very different in 2022 than it was in 2016, and even more changed than when I showed up in 2011. Fighting that change is like fighting the tide.
