It was only Bradley’s first day at the new school, sitting alone at some random table at the back of the lunch room. He hadn’t expected anyone to approach him, after all he hadn’t exactly made himself open. Which was why he was surprised when the other boy had stopped in front of him.

He’d been pretty focused at poking at his lunch with his fork and was about to tell him he was fine until he looked up and something about him had the words dying on his tongue. He couldn’t put his finger on it.
