My dad printed these for me after we watched the movie together. Gotta paint them eventually.

Feel like screaming a bit but my white conservative family wants to move me and my sister to gd Tennessee to escape “violence/drugs/mean people” ((ie not being the dominant voter block)) here in Washington. In the next few year’s. So i would one be left in Wa alone or two i would be a trans person who is being forced to move to a heavily conservative state. They will just choose to not understand and blame me for my reservations on moving there.
Then say to my face “you can’t be what you never in reality be”. That they are fine with the gay thing but not the gender non conforming bit. That i will of course regret it all in the “end”. Plus them entirely ignoring lgbt history: “ that even gay’s don’t like trans people” (my dad’s braindead opinion).
Well I’m sorry then those ignorant fool’s don’t deserve the freedom transwoman fought for. And those fools don’t deserve respect for being scum who think that targeting will pass over them if we just mass sacrifice a group that fought for our gd human rights.
Not like i wasn’t fully plugged into and aware that trans people were/are leaving southern states as of not that long ago.
I would need state pride. Even to want to live and improve shit in Tennessee. But i don’t have that pride. I don’t even think i would want it. And i probably will never, given how shit’s run over there so i might just have to stay in blue areas. Bitter and endlessly sad over being forced to leave my home state. I don’t like churches on every corner, religious shit being shoved down my throat, country music, fucking sports, constant tracking if i want to get gender affirming healthcare, and eternal full on republican leadership. Might just resent where i fucking live and wouldn’t that be a life to look forward to. The feeling of being a child forced to be in an evangelical church sitting every Sunday feeling like I’m drinking poison.

An illustration I painted and turned into an animated gif. This was very tedious but I like how it turned out.
The moment I saw these double doors in our apartment, I knew I wanted to put colorful foil on them:
Today my wife did it, and I couldn't be more stunned and happy:
Isn't it amazing? This is a dream come true, and it makes me so happy! 🩵🧡💚💛💙❤️🩷
The doors continue to delight:
(pics taken as the sun shines through the doors, making all the colors shine and projecting some of them across the hallway floor) (edited this reblog to add a second pic)
This post is almost at 11,111 notes and I hope someone screenshots it when it happens!
@purlturtle here you are I got it for you!
what if I told you that I am RIVETED to my notifications at the moment, for fear that I will miss it
The galaxy map of this post's reblogs is a thing of beauty:
This isn't a post from a big blog that a ton of people reblogged from that one big blog. This isn't even a post that got big because one big blog reblogged it. Yes, there were a few big-name boosts, but almost all of these reblogs are just, this post ambling through Tumblr making people happy.
And that makes *me* happy. Thank you, fellow Tumblrinas!
Y'all.
My wife found this incredible rug to go into the living room, that matches the doors so so so well!
Isn't it fabulous?

Joy and whimsy detected! This post is joyful and whimsical!
“And you know, the fact is, nobody knew that they were prosthetic legs. They were the star of the show - these wooden boots peeking out from under this raffia dress - but in fact, they were actually legs made for me.”

ring cameras have been police surveillance tools for the last decade idk why people are acting like it's new
You're seeing these posts for the same reason you're seeing more posts about leaving your phone at home and about masking and about grey block and about not talking to the cops:
A lot of people who haven't previously done activism are taking to the streets right now and people are offering them education that their own social bubble didn't expose them to before.
This happened in 2020 too. It happens every time there's a big spike in protests. And it's a good thing. It's great that more people are taking to the streets and it's great that these people are being given vital safety information without judgement about being new or not knowing everything yet.
