So the Olympics gave me An Idea™ (A very late idea but an idea all the same lmao)
Okay so hear me out. Non-Mutant AU in which Charles and Erik were former olympians who retired and decided to set up a school for troubled kids which focused on getting them into sports.
And so the independant Olympics team dubbed The X-Men was born.
Charles - Summer Olympics
-Ex-Dressage Gold Medal Winner
-Like Charles taught Ponies to dance
-But seriously his horse would do the most amazing stunts
-There was always a rumour that he and the horse were mentally linked they were so in sync
-His career ended when he was thrown from his horse and became paralysed from the waist down.
-He was given the option to compete at the paralympics but he decided to give it up and teach instead
-He teaches his students to believe in what they can do and to trust their instincts
-Was a gold medal winner in the Skeleton Bob
-Like imagine Erik shooting past on this terrifyingly dangerous little sled
-He takes the corners with frightening accuracy
-He had quite a few close calls and ended up retiring with two Gold medals and two silvers
-He’s always correcting the students’ form and technique until they are absolutely on point.
-He’s hard on them but is the first at their side if they get hurt
-so like obviously Peter is a sprinter. 100m world champion
-everyone thinks he's gonna be easy competition until he starts running
-he would do well in any running but he's not tactical enough to plan his running as he just wants to go fast
-his mama could have been an Olympic hurdler but having Peter and Wanda kinda put an end to her Olympic dreams
-Never as fast as her brother Wanda always made it up in style
-She loves the beat and the fact that she can use props alongside her body to create movement
-She’s just so graceful and elegant whilst also pulling off moves that look straight out of some form of martial arts movie
-She wins a gold medal before Peter. He never hears the end of it
Scott and Alex - Summer (lmao)
-So I like to think that Alex was on track to become an Olympic Badminton champion in the original line up of the X-Men when he had to pull out due to an injury before the final.
-But then he takes a year out to go and help his brother who keeps getting in fights etc.
-He takes him to Xaviers school and teaches him badminton.
-They become doubles partners. The BEST doubles partners.

-So the guy that falls over is Scott but he actually makes the point. These two dorks are olympic champions and they also hold the record for being hit in the face more times than any other champions in the history of the games.
-Yeah basically badminton nerds with a whole lotta skill (and luck)
-Darwin was also one of the originals
-Like this dude was built for this.
-No one quite understands how this one guy can seem so fluid in the water AND on land.
-He earns the nickname darwin v early in his career and he ends up being referred to by it constantly.
-He’s just so good at pacing himself and powering past the opposition
-He’s also one of the originals and a complete nerd
-He loves the feeling of the cold air streaming past the exposed areas of his skin
-He never did forgive Erik shoving him down the first jump in training
-No matter how much it boosted his confidence
-She started by learning how to ride horses with charles but Erik convinced her to try skating one winter and she fell in love with the ice
-Charles is still #bitter no matter how happy he is to see her enjoy herself on the ice
-Erik just smiles and tells him to chill out
-Raven high fives him on her next pass round the ice rink.
-The concentration leaves everyone breathless as she releases her arrows perfectly every time.
-Scott almost always gets distracted by her in training and gets hit by another shuttlecock
-She just laughs and fires again.
-Ex circus acrobat Kurt Wagner discovering the peacefulness of the water
-And then discovering that he can combine tumbling through the air and water!!!
-He loves the wind rushing past as he flips and tumbles before slipping into the cool blue water.
-Everyone is constantly entranced by his gracefulness
-Just Jubilee twisting and flipping and contorting her body in the most energetic routines possible
-She’s so happy all the time
-And her routines are just so perfect people love her
-Looping round and round on the track and always staying just out of reach
-People swear she could create tornados with how fast she goes round the track
-She loves speeding along and leaving the competition in her wake.
Basically this little team of beaten down kids become the best athletes in the world thank you for your time
