Okay initially I just blocked you but before I inevitably do that again I'll try to politely explain where I'm coming from.

I assume you're referring to my now-deleted comments on Kill La Kill, an anime I hate. You know, I used to own a Satsuki figurine when I was in high school. Then I got older and realized I wasn't comfortable promoting a series that spends so much screen time showing upskirts of teenage girls and horny depictions of parent-child incest. I realized, in fact, that the anime industry's* obsession with sexualizing teenage girls normalized my own experiences being groomed by adult men as a teenager -- I didn't sound the alarm because I thought being groomed was "normal" based on the media I had consumed. People love to claim that "it's just art", but art absolutely affects your worldview and definition of what is acceptable. I'm not advocating for """censoring""" KLK or whatever because that's so beside the point. Sexualizing children is a problem across the world.

I'm almost 30 and I really, really hope you're younger than me. The most charitable interpretation of this message is that you lack the perspective to understand a) why teenagers are still children worth protecting, and/or b) how people can in fact receive harmful messages from media that negatively impacts their lives. Otherwise, you sound an awful lot like a pedophile apologist. I'm not spending my one wild and precious life arguing with a possible pedophile apologist, but I hope I've given you some ideas to chew on. Goodbye.

Green sea turtle no longer Endangered

These gentle, 400-pound giants are splashing back from the brink of extinction.

Green sea turtles have been an iconic endangered species since the 1980s, mostly due to bycatch in fishing nets and taking adults and eggs for food. I have core childhood memories of watching Steve Irwin talk about sea turtle conservation in front of a beach full of nesting green sea turtles.

After 45 years of conservation efforts, their population now meets the IUCN criteria for Least Concern rather than Endangered.

For a species with such a slow life history (it takes green sea turtles decades to reach sexual maturity) and a nearly global population, this is a Really Big Deal. This is the kind of long term conservation victory that many of the amazing humans who started working on green sea turtle conservation back in the 80s didn't live to see.

Just because something isn't fixed right away doesn't mean it won't ever be fixed. Just because the work is slow doesn't mean it isn't worth doing.
