@philly-pholk
i figured it out
Every morning, I put on my thinking cap and my smartiepants. Unfortunately, there is no shirt that properly proclaims my intellectual abilities, so I have to go tits out
laptop overheating?? pour water on it to cool it down!
i trusted you
Do not trust people like me. I will take you to museums, and parks, and monuments, and kiss you in every beautiful place, so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth. I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible. And when I leave you will finally understand, why storms are named after people
who up not a good person, barely a person at all
Deeply human, but we’re still human

tumblr users are living in a world wholly their own which I can not help but envy
Genuinely might cry gang. Remember how I said that I might have to drop chemistry because the way the room is set up with tall tables and stools causes a lot of pain for me and makes me super faint-y?
Well today when I got to class my teacher had replaced by table with a shorter one and the metal stools with actual chairs. I’m not even kidding that this might be the nicest thing anyones ever done for me.
The coldness hasn’t been fixed, so I still can’t really use my hands in class bc of the Raynaud’s, but I was finally able to sit in my classroom without passing out or being in pain. It’s just so nice that I genuinely can’t get my head around it. My teacher went through all this trouble just for me. She has like, probably a hundred different students, and it’s probably inconvenient to the other kids as well, but she did this so I wouldn’t have to drop her class because of my stupid health problems.
tumblr.com/schlorb is an empire built entirely on the back of my chronic illness, if i had the energy i would be doing something else
my favorite part of this whole thing tbh
i am a biological machine that turns cold cans of Campbell’s soup into shareholder value and nude selfies

Has a baleen whale ever been kept in captivity for any length of time? If so was it successfully released or did it die?
there have been several instances of young baleen whales running afoul of something and being captured for rehabilitation, yes! they were mostly gray whales.
which makes sense, gray whales are slow enough to get caught in the first place and hardy enough to not immediately stress themselves to death over being poked and put in a tank (as long as hundreds of pounds of delicious shellfish are on offer, anyway)
none of them were ever kept very long, they were rehabilitated to a healthy weight and then released. (healthy weight for a juvenile gray whale is almost 20,000 lbs. BIG baby)
this lives in the post now
mythbusters was so good because it wasn't a killjoy show. they didn't just say "see, it doesn't work" and leave it there
whenever they find that the stunt doesn't work as portrayed in the movie, they immediately ask "what would it take to make this happen?"
“we know it takes this amount of explosives to work, but what if we doubled it anyway?”
Some myths I'll always remember:
* Are elephants scared of mice? (They only did that because they were in Africa and had access to elephants.)
* Will a bull run amok in a china shop?
* Is it better to run zig-zag or straight when chased by an alligator?
I love these because NONE of them turned out the way they expected. They went into all three with pre-conceived ideas of how it would go, and each time they "failed." Elephants WILL cower from mice. A bull moves very gingerly through a china shop. It doesn't matter how you run because ALLIGATORS WON'T CHASE YOU.
And each time, they reacted with just... pure glee. "Holy shit, we were wrong! Oh my god! This is great! We were so wrong!"
And that, to me, is what science is. Being excited about being wrong because either way it's information.
cant stop thinking about this video its driving me insane. scariest object ever made. looked it up w friends in a discord call and found out its like fucking eight feet tall and made of solid metal
imagine visiting someone's house for a party, it goes late. 1 in the morning. you're drunk and high. you have to go to the bathroom before going home. hallway lights are off, its like a train tunnel. this thing is at the end of the hallway
if i took a women's scholarship and then transitioned during college would that count as swindling
WOULD THEY TAKE THE MONEY BACK
plan of action:
> take womens scholarship
> go to law school
> transition during law school
> get sued about it
> take it to the supreme court
> defend myself
> trans rights?
stop being funnier than me
I always forget there are maga people on tumblr, this doesn’t feel like a website you’d find them on, so to keep them away:
Reblog if your blog is a maga free zone because if it wasn’t clear enough fuck ice, fuck maga, fuck Trump, Fuck Rowling, and fuck all the other bigots I missed
