We need to dismantle the systems in place that allow white people to get away with offering black people sub-par services based on the excuse that our bodies are more difficult to work with. Black hair is not more difficult than white hair, it simply requires a different skill set. Tattooing vibrant tattoos on black skin isn’t more difficult than tattooing white skin, it simply requires a different skill set. Photographing black people isn’t more difficult than photographing white people, it simply requires an understanding of photography. Doing makeup on black skin isn’t more difficult than doing makeup on white skin, it simply requires different products. Working with black people is not more difficult than working with white people you’ve all just been taught that it’s not valuable and therefore not worth learning how.

THE SIMS 4 PATCH UPDATE

The official site posted another blog post today to tell us a little more about the upcoming updates to skin tones, hairs and makeup. 

Skin tones On December 8 they will update with over 100 new skin tones. The UI will be updated and the skin tones are divided into 4 categories (warm, neutral, cool & miscellaneous). Every skin tone will have a value slider to give you even more customizable options. The update will also include more compression improvements to both new and existing skin tones, including improving the quality of suntans and sunburns.

Makeup The December patch will also add four brand new makeup sliders that let us control, hue, brightness, transparency and saturation of makeup. This will hopefully greatly improve how makeup works on darker skins as well as make some of the more extreme assets more usable.

Hairs Another three base game hairstyles will be updated with improved textures/meshes. This time it’s two children’s hairstyles (braided ponytail with and without baby hairs) and the flat-top texture hairstyle. The big afro hairstyle is still being worked on according to SimGuruFrost and will not be part of this update.

Rioting is happening in philadelphia for Walter Wallace. He was shot 10+ times by police while his mother stood by and begged them not to shoot. Witnesses say he had a knife but he was not near police nor was he coming near them. There was no attempt to de-escalate the situation before he was murdered.

Police have lost control of the city, and at least 12 police are in the hospital after altercations with protesters.

No one is talking about the situation. It is not trending. There is barely any media coverage for the situation, all information I have received has come straight from people living in Philly.

Raise awareness, look into the situation, speak up. Philly is in the midst of a revolution and we are hearing nothing about it.
