Quinn: Perfect! Saturday morning works great for me, actually. I have to be at work late afternoon, it'll at least be a wonderful way to start the day.

I don’t suppose you’d be interested in a role at all~?

That’s no something that usually works, no. Come up with a plan that you think will help. It makes you feel like you’re making progress, and it actually works towards getting things accomplished. I don’t know how that would apply to this situation, but I’m sure you can think of something.

A role? Not so much. I’d be up for helping with some behind-the-scenes stuff, though, if you needed it.

Oh my god, for a second, I thought the LAMT was telling us the whole Theatre had closed, and I almost had a heart attack.

This is okay, though! This is fine. We can totally find the people willing to support the LAMT. We always have before!!

Deep breaths, Mason. People seem pretty upset about the production, you’re all pretty fond of the LAMT, it seems. Good luck with finding all of the help you need!

I’ve considered it, but that’s effort that I can’t see myself going to. Plus, this place pays well and I always get to take food home at the end of the night, so I guess it’s not all bad. But you’re right, I don’t have a passion for pasta, I’m very much into fashion but have yet to find a steady job in that department. 

It’s hard to get anywhere, if you’re not willing to put in the effort. I can see why you wouldn’t exhaust yourself for Italian food, though. I imagine that’s a fairly hard industry to break into.

That’s such an interesting phenomenon. I wonder why that is. It seems so counter-intuitive. I’m sure someone’s done a study on why that could be. Oooh I knew they’d be out there! Anyone that we can add to our otter pop collective or no?

Really? Well, blue’s still the best. There aren’t really any I don’t like though. I mean… it’s probably not healthy no matter what time it is. I’m guessing.

I’m going to go ahead and assume that’s a type of ice cream or something, but why don’t you tell people you just went down on a smurf? That’s guaranteed to make them remember you. Just sayin’.

Yeah, I’m going to pass on that one. Memorable is fine, if it’s in the right way. I don’t think I’m quite down with being known as “that chick who thinks she went down a smurf.”

It’s just so hard to actually stop studying, even when you know it’s the best thing to do. My roommate is the greatest, though don’t get me wrong. There have absolutely been times when I’ve bodily dragged her to bed when she’s stayed up late studying for the latest horrible anatomy test, so it’s definitely a mutual thing. It’s one of the reasons we work so well together. That and the fact that she isn’t afraid of rejection to quite the same extent I am, so she’s okay with checking stuff for me, then comforting me after. She’s my bearer of bad news and thank goodness I have her. And then I make sure she eats and doesn’t do anything too dangerous, since she’s a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

It honestly sounds like the perfect arrangement. The two of you take care of each other, and that’s really invaluable in any aspect of life. Roommates can be so hit or miss, and the wrong arrangement can kill your college experience.

It should only be a few more weeks, thankfully. I’m doing everything in my power to ensure a speedy recovery; it’s not right to leave the audience in the hands of my understudy – as capable as she is – when I’m positive that she doesn’t have the same chemistry with Madison’s Velma that I do. 

Absolutely! Especially since this injury isn’t my own fault. It only would be if I exacerbated it in an effort to get back to work too soon.

That sounds like you know something about passions yourself; any chance I could be nosy and ask what drives you? Now that you know something about me, after all. 

A few more weeks is definitely doable, though I know it can’t be ideal. It’s good that you didn’t break it, the recovery time would be much longer. How long does the show run for?

Of course, accidents happen. Hopefully everyone understands.

I love photography, and I could probably go on about the how’s and why’s and bore you half to death with it, but history makes me hesitant to relate it to passion. I have this tendency to believe I’m passionate about the wrong things, and crash and burn in consequence. This is one thing I don’t want to be wrong about.

I mean, there’s no reason not have one! They aren’t necessarily just middle-of-the-summer treats, though I would argue that that’s the best time to have them. But I have ice cream year round and I see no reason why this is any different. Hmm, I’m sure they’re out there somewhere. We’ll make otter pop buddies with them, fear not!

I actually crave things like ice cream more in the winter, and I know that doesn’t make any sense, but it’s true. Maybe I just enjoy being cold. I’ve found a couple, actually! There was bound to be someone out there.

I was always a fan of cherry, myself. 

The image of you going to town a popsicle got me feelin some typa way tho. 

This works out well, it’s my least favorite. You can have all of the cherry ones that I don’t eat.

Blue is totally the best! But red is really awesome too. Oh man, I totally want some now. You could totally have them for before bed snacks though! I think the blue would go away overnight probably. Cause of something sciency with your spit. 

You’re the second person to say red, and it’s honestly my least favorite flavor! That’s alright, it just goes to show that there’s something out there for everyone. Can you imagine that much sugar before bed? It’s so unhealthy, and I have enough trouble getting to sleep sometimes. It’s a good idea, though, the...spit science. I’ll keep it in mind, but I might just stick to a toothbrush for now.

Pancakes, or sex, I guess. I suppose I managed to find the one place in Chicago that opens at seven thirty in the morning. I never did have very good luck.

Let’s just focus on the pancakes. Have you considered looking for another job? Even if it’s just another Italian restaurant; although, by the sounds of it, I’m guessing Italian food isn’t your passion.
