in the elders quest hidden moon we see lightleap returning from patrol despite still being listed as a queen with kits in the nursery and while i know you can be a working mother and i believe the warrior cats women should all be able to do this i still look at this and think to myself that i hope she is erratically absent from their lives in such a way that causes lasting damage. i hope she curls up with them at night and feels the nursery walls pressing in and they wake up to a cold and empty nest and no one can find her until long after dawn. and blazefire sits her down and tells her she can’t keep doing this and he’s worried about her and she looks to his nest in the warriors den and stops listening. he presses against her and tells her he loves her and she is filled with a kind of disgust that she cannot explain and she watches him leave and can’t seem to remember what she ever thought was interesting about him. and she wishes splashtail had killed her and she wishes ashfur had killed her and she had gotten her hero’s death and never ever ended up here.

When I was in grade school I used to send emails to biologists and zoologists asking them questions to get answers to include in school projects I was working on, and would cry when they did not respond because I thought I was stupid for thinking that some random kid would ever be deserving of a response from someone who does something as smart and cool and important as *checks notes* studies frog fungus.

Now, at 29, I’m lowkey having a panic attack because my academic email is filled with middle schoolers wanting me to answer their questions about pygmy raccoons and I keep putting off answering them because I’m so overwhelmed with all the other raccoon stuff I have to do.

Anyway, greatest apologies to any scientist I ever emailed as a child and also an adult.

This PMV is a bit different than my other pride picks, because it's about how Crowfeather's girlfriends always end up becoming lesbians (as Feathertail, Leafpool, and Nightcloud are often headcanoned as sapphic and shipped with she-cats within the fandom). It's comedic and lighthearted but the art is beautiful and there are some really cute ships in here!

How do I explain to you people that interracial relationships are okay

Not every white person dating a POC is fetishizing. White people can be respectful and responsible when it comes to culture and relationships and not everyone has bad intentions.

Asian people can date Black people without you saying shit like “your kids will be so pretty” they’re not dating for pretty kids. They’re dating bc they like each other.

Someone can dress their partner in clothing from their culture if they want. Someone can take their partner to cultural events if they want.

People in relationships can share cultures, experiences and love without it being toxic or skin deep.

Their partner isn’t culturally appropriating. Their partner is being shown the ultimate form of love, bc their partner trusts them and loves them enough to share their history and heritage.

Yeah, dating someone from your culture is nice bc you automatically have similar experiences. But you’re not limited to dating people with the same experiences. Loving someone is sharing and growing and being together.

Interracial relationships aren’t always toxic, and some of y’all need to stop projecting onto other people.
