Rewatched the very first 2 episodes of Vox Machina yesterday and for some reason it's only just hitting me that this isn't just them looking at the destroyed town and going "this is horrible we need to avenge them and stop it from happening again", this is all of them going "we're probably going to die, but if we take the dragon down with us its fucking worth it" and that's. A distinction I hadn't thought of perviously.

Also, I rewatched them try to rob the Cobalt Soul before that, and its kinda funny how they got just. SO much more skilled without being less of a disaster.

Like they are NOT working together well in the first two. They don't even know to let Vax deal with locked doors! And then we get character arcs and new skills and multiple bonding-by-near-death-experiences and cool weapons! And they get so much better at working together!

And that heist is STILL a fucking disaster I love it.
