Buy Rare Seeds from the traveling cart when you can, they’re very valuable and a good boost in the fall.

Try to unlock the greenhouse fast, makes finishing crop bundles easy if you miss some seasons. Also lets you plant those rare seeds whenever you want

Either complete the foraging bundles in the first year or save one of each foragable. It’s really annoying to have to wait a whole year to finish the center

DONT DONATE YOUR FIRST DINO EGG TO THE MUSEUM put it in an incubator and donate the “lizard” eggs

You will need an upgraded coop. Hold onto it until you get one.

Donate to the museum often to unlock the sewers, valuable stuff there.

Crab pots level up your fishing skill without actual fishing. I sucked at the fishing mini game so that helped a lot

Put any refiner in your barn/coop to save outside space. You CAN put smelters in the same barn as a cheese press

Get Auto Grabbers/Collectors ASAP. Opens inventory space, and speeds up animal product collection

I didn’t use sprinklers, they’re inefficient until you get iridium ones. I had a lv 1 or 2 hoe+watering can instead.

Upgrade your tools in winter when you’re not relying on them

Knocking out the main storylines/quests early game makes everything else a breeze. Not saying speed run, but be aware of timing and don’t be worried about using the wiki, we all rely on that sucker.

If you plan to date all marriage candidates at once (they ALL are labeled boyfriend/girlfriend) …. Always carry a rabbits foot in your inventory. Or avoid the Saloon and/or Emily’s house all together.

Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. Most computer operating systems use Unix, which was launched in 1971 with t.he epoch date of midnight on January 1, 1970 as 1. Therefore zero is one second behind that date: December 31, 1969. I’m gonna say this again since folks keep tagging popular blogs in that tumblr blackout post with not a second thought about how disabled folks will be affected by it

First off- starting an indefinite blackout from the start of disability pride month IS ableism. Intentional or not. I do not care if it’s a “statement about accessibility.” You cannot talk like you care about disabled people by silencing our voices. Majority of disabled folks I’ve seen have been explaining over and over again why this is a monumentally shit idea which is just going to hurt us.

Second- We are not Reddit. So you can’t copy paste something that worked there and hope that’ll work here. Do we not remember the blackouts in the past that did not fucking work? Also- I say this as someone who is disabled and cares deeply about accessibility- there is an extreme difference in the severity of the issues that are going on with Reddit and what’s going on here. Poorly review tumblr, stop buying crabs, stop fucking blazing posts. Dude. We are also not in a union or employed by tumblr. WE CAN’T BE SCABS.

Thirdly- I’m presuming that most people who’ve been reblogging the og post have other social media sites they can go to. That they can easily go to like, Instagram, that they have friends irl, and they have the ability to leave the house. A lot of disabled people on here don’t have that. They’ve been bullied off social media platforms like Instagram or Twitter or Tiktok for being disabled, they don’t have a solid friendship group in real life and some of them can’t actually leave the house without help. I don’t want disabled people to be completely alone during disability pride month. They deserve to at least deserve to keep their support network on the funny hellsite.

And if I sound angry it’s because I am. I’m angry about disabled people being lowest priority yet again. I’m angry at our own month being used against us because of “accessibility”. I’m angry thinking about disabled people being isolated during a time that should be celebratory. I’m not being chronically online or overreacting or “trying to be an activist.” I’m just a disabled person who would absolutely be negatively impacted by this blackout that has apparently been timed with our accessibility needs in mind but no caring for how disabled people will be effected.

I don’t know if the plans have been updated. Honestly I struggled to even read the og post because of the font and the inaccessible use of language. But I do want ableds to know that they cannot say they’re participating in this blackout to benefit disabled people.

so this is not a recent discovery but i think everyone should listen to thanks for coming. they're a musical artist and they are fucking phenomenal. i made a playlist of their entire discography and its almost seven hours long (6h48m). its all very poetic and beautiful and kind of angry but like that sad kind of angry. like what could have been kind of angry.
