Why do we have to guard our heart? Because our heart is extremely valuable. We don’t guard worthless things. Our heart is the source of everything else in our lives. What comes out of our heart translates into thoughts, words, and actions.

It is often the 'little' and subtle things that come in and corrupt our hearts. The Word of God says that we need to be alert, for the devil roams about like a lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), which tells us that it is the little subtle things that pull us into a trap. Let's be alert and aware of the things that we allow in our hearts, whether it be a show, a movie, music, social media etc...- Ask yourself will Jesus be comfortable with the stuff I watch and listen to? 

May God help us to guard our hearts.
