Pirates of the Caribbean yuri, anyone?
I’m still at the Willabeth restaurant.
Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean children’s book, “Ghost Ship.”
Keep a weather eye on the horizon ✨ My eyes couldn't believe it, after months sailing I finally found him and if that means I have to sail to the end of the world I would do it till the last day of my life.
I have been staring at this drawing for too many hours that I don't know what to think anymore but here it is - the pirate king 👑
LOST 2005 Pirates of the Caribbean Comic FOUND!
Hi everyone! For over 2 years now I have been trying to track down one of the few missing POTC comics from the Disney Adventures Magazine in the early 2000s. Last week I finally found someone who was selling the issue containing the lost comic named "Enter... the Scarecrow!"
This comic is a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover with the Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, specifically the Disney version of the character based on the television show from the 1960s. It was the idea of artist Bret Blevins, who was the artist for most of the 2003-2005 Pirates comics, as he is a big fan of the Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. It is a very cool and unique comic that I am so happy is no longer lost media. Hope you enjoy reading it!
If you prefer a PDF version of it, here you go: https://bit.ly/potc-scarecrow
Just saw this photo posted today by stuntman Christopher Leps (one of Johnny Depp’s stunt doubles)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End official promo art
Thanks to a tip from @nocauseislost, I was able to pull some Jerry Bruckheimer photos from an exhibit sometime around 2008? Still sleuthing on it to see if I can find more pictures online. But here's what I've got so far. Non-Willabeth content above, Willabeth content below.
If anyone out there knows a PotC fan who might have gone by the handle "meltinthemiddle" at some point, tell them I said thanks for sharing these in 2008!

OK weeks later... I just think that all three of them deserve for Will have a chance to hold their son.
Bootstrap Bill's appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3 was devised as a progression of six makeup stages, with his character undergoing a transformation from being encrusted to being completely engulfed in sea life. The makeups were brought to life by Joel Harlow, based on conceptual art by Crash McCreery.
Stage 1: Rum locker scene - starfish is forming under his skin.
Stage 2: Whipping scene - starfish is halfway emerged.
Stage 3: Dice game & Kraken scenes - starfish is now fully formed.
Stage 4: Dutchman brig scene - losing himself and fusing with the ship.
Stage 5 of his progression seems to have been skipped over by the filmmakers for whatever reason, as there are no scenes with Bootstrap between his stage 4 and stage 6 appearances - or at least, none with any noticeable difference.
Stage 6: Maelstrom sequence - most extreme state, completely engulfed in sea life.
The final stage was altered slightly from the original design, so it could be done with makeup.
