While "thinking that Socialism is good" certainly makes a good start, pro-Socialist sympathies alone won't make someone consistently useful for advancing Socialism. They need to understand the principles of why it's good, understanding this in the terms of a proletarian ideological framework (i.e. Marxism) rather than a bourgeoisie one (i.e. Liberalism).

Because you find that a lot of Left-Liberal and adjacent types aren't against "radical" actions and movements, but don't really get the point of them. They still think about politics in an individualist and moralist way, evaluating political actions by the qualities they demonstrate in the people performing them; it's more about what makes you a "good person" than what actually brings about change in the world. So they'll perceive equivalence between actions that are obviously different if your main concern with politics is social change. Like they'll see a social media post historically analysing the Cuban Revolution or calling for a General Strike in the contemporary USA and go "So fucking true. This is why you need to start a community garden and vote!"

While rich countries recover from COVID, they will forget about the pandemic while many other countries live the absolute worst moment of the pandemic without being able to vaccinate their population.
