reblog the Don Draper of getting a job heās unqualified for and youāll have 10 years of getting jobs youāre unqualified for
No but my dad actually did this at McDonalds in the 70s!
So hereās a true story: my father, sometime in the 70s was looking for his first job. He went to the local McDonalds and told the staff, [managerās name] said I was supposed to start today. They took his word for it and started training him and by the time the manager saw him and asked who he was, people just said āoh thatās the new guy.ā
Somehow this actually worked. My dad worked there for a couple of years as a cook. He even won an award plaque which he had on the wall until the day he died.

What a trip.
Wow these photos are stunning
Some of these outfits are the raddest things Iāve ever seen.
Can we talk about the tights.
The existence of photos like these (and similar photos from the 70s and 80s and so on) makes me wonder yet again why current-day movies set in this time never seem to be able to get the hair and clothing right.

Why do you fear the truth
You have a thing at 2:00 PM so you set a reminder for 1:00 PM because you donāt want to be late, but you should eat by 12:00 PM. That means you should start preparing food by 11:30 AM, but you want to double check or confirm the appointment before 11:00 AM before everyone goes to lunch. So if you want to finish your other tasks by 10:00 AM, you ought to start at 8:00 AM, which means youāve got to wake up at 7:30 AM and you may as well get ready to go out then ahead of time, and thatās how something that starts at 2:00 PM effectively starts at 7:30 AM and lasts the entire day.

āNot use collective punishment as it is not fair on the many people who did nothing and under the 1949 Geneva Conventions it is a war crime.ā
Wait itās a fucking WAR CRIME?!?! I mean that might not be 100% accurate but now I gotta know
holy crap, collective punishment is a war crime.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Geneva_Convention#Collective_punishments
and according to the exact legal phrasing-
No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
This technically counts, as students are civilians, and thus considered a āprotected personā. So yes, collective classroom punishment breaks the fourth Geneva Convention, and she should be rewarded for standing up for human rights and doing her research.
Power-move: accuse your teacher of a war crime using knowledge they supplied you with
why do people get mad when you love yourself
