Iām gonna to rant because people in this fandom had me mad.
Literally nothing was wrong with Ashley Seaver, Alex Blake, or Kate Callaghan. Tara Lewis, Matt Simmons, and Luke Alvez werenāt even as bad as people make them out to be. Iām gonna be honest, and yāall will get pissed, but some of you are just whiny bitches who canāt accept change. There. I said it.
Characters wanted to leave, other characters wanted the job. What are you gonna do? Say ānah, weāll just keep going with the three people we haveā ? No. Youāre gonna fill the positions. I liked the other characters. Kate was my favorite. Nobody was replacing anybody. It wasnāt like they had Seaver be the new Press Liason and called her JJ as if we wouldnāt notice. She had her own little backstory and only mentioned her father when it helped with cases. Yāall just love dragging shit.
Another thing. Elle wasnāt even a bad person. She went through something traumatic and didnāt deal with it the right way, so she made a mistake. The others have done worse. Her character worked really well with the team, even if it wasnāt as good as Emilyās. And I love how yāall talking about replacements, but forgot that, technically, Emily and Rossi were both replacements. But weāre not ready for that conversation yet, right?
Speaking of, Gideon wasnāt that bad of a person. He just had his own tactics. He could be blunt and forget about other peopleās feeling, but Rossi was worse in his first three episodes. When youāre in the BAU for as long as they were it takes a lot on your life force. Especially after Sarah, we canāt blame the guy. (Even Iāll admit, though, I was mad at him for abandoning Reid. But thatās really it.)
