OK but Statler and Waldorf need to have climbed the tower of the Eye of Sauron and be watching the whole movie from there.

With ear trumpets and opera binoculars on a stick to explain how they can hear and see every bit of dialogue and bit of action.

Sauron himself needs to be ignorant of their presence immediately below him, and they need to call attention regularly to everything the character that's a literal giant eye doesn't notice.

Once the Ring is destroyed and the tower is fallen they need to be clambering out of the rubble and:

"Looks like the Eye of Sauron is closed."

"Looks like the Eye of Sauron was closed for the whole movie!"

And they both laugh.

5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money

This. It's not "dehumanizing" to use it/its pronouns for Murderbot. Because it's not human. And doesn't WANT to be human. It considers the separation of its person-hood from humans a positive thing.

Hello. It/its-using human here. Spider is right on the money, but I wanted to stress his point because this is a real-world issue for me.

Any set of pronouns can be used in a dehumanizing way. We call that misgendering. It/its is not unique in that regard.

Yes, given the connotations the word "it" has, you (general you from here on out) might find it uncomfortable to call another person that - but, crucially, using it/its pronouns for me is not about your comfort, it's about respecting me as a human being. Your only other option is to misgender me intentionally.

And yes, I know we're talking about a fictional character here, but to be frank, I've had to give Pronouns 101 lessons to a lot of people who were using the exact inverse of dragontologist's statement as an excuse to misgender me. This attitude absolutely does not only apply to fictional characters.

Interrogate and get a handle on your discomfort with it/its pronouns before you make it a real person's problem.
