Season 2 Episode 2 -> Steve and Nancy go together to a place where teenagers have fun and pretend to be '' stupid teenagers in love'', pretend that everything is okay... Nancy loses control of herself and ends up with her dress being stained, their relationship is put to the test and after the incident they have a fight about saying '' I love you'' to each other and if one of them means it or not... they get separated until the end of the season but we find out that Nancy doesn't love Steve, she only likes him, she spends the rest of her time with someone that is secretly in love with her (Jonathan)... eventually we find out that Steve was idealizing Nancy and after years he still thinks she's the one for him even if they have very different ideas about their ideal life in the future. We know for a fact that Steve felt/feels dumb compared to Nancy aka he's putting her on a pedestal in a way...

Season 4 Episode 2 -> Mike and El go together to a place where teenagers have fun and they are pretending that everything is okay between them, they are being ''stupid teenagers in love'' and having fun... El ends up with her dress being stained and loses control of herself... their relationship is put to the test and after the incident they have a fight about saying '' I love you'' to each other and if one of them means it or not... They are separated for the rest of the season until the end and Mike spends lots of his time with someone that is secretly in love with him(Will) We know Mike feels inferior compared to El and he's idealizing her as a superhero....
